Rumour - Remake Head Prestige Classic (PT10)

Still loving the PC 2.0. If I'm just hitting and not playing a match, this is still my go-to. Can't beat the feel. The only thing I don't like is the lower launch angle. Thinking about trying some thin-gauge poly strings, 1.2 mm and thinner. Any recommendations?
Haven't tried it in the PC2.0 but I loved Hyper-G 19g in my 93P for a while (maybe relevant/helpful in the sense of their both being 18x20 thin beam mids)

You could try Lynx Tour 18. I play the 17 in this frame and like it a lot, so if you're looking for a thinner string, it's a good candidate to try.

In my view, for those smaller-frame-tighter pattern type of frame, the lower launch angle is part of the fun. You can hit those laser precise just-1-inch-above-the-net cross courts that are just sublime...

I had a good experience with 1.20 hyper G

Those lasers are special, but I don't particularly like dumping my backhand into the net as often as I do. Just need a tad more clearance to play more consistently.

Been watching too much 90s and 00s tennis highlights recently...Buffed up my pc600 to 360sw, and played some nice attacking tennis with it! Sometimes i think about going up to 370sw, or even 380. Should i?
Yes, try what you feel is right no matter what pple say
One day I tried a pro stock liquid metal instinct without knowing it's spec. I played amazing. Back home I measured the unstrung swingweitgh of it (I broke strings during the session) and it was 330+ unstrung... which is 365 sw strung with the 130 poly I was using

For a racquetaholic, the racquet of choice is the one you keep coming back to. I had two PC 2.0 but I traded one of them to get a pair of what I perceived to be a more user-friendly frame. But the PC 2.0 has been getting more court time than any other stick in my excessive collection, and they feel more comfortable and enjoyable than everything else I've had, and that includes an Austria PT280. Time to buy back another 1-2 sticks. If anyone wants to part ways with theirs, feel free to DM me.

Strung up my new PC 2.0 with Cyclone 19 (1.10 mm thickness). I've never used poly this thin before and the feel is pretty unique. It almost didn't feel like a poly. The string bed is very lively versus muted, and it was grabbing onto the ball for easy access to spin. The one downside is I felt the ball is quite unpredictable off the string bed. The variation in launch angle is substantial. Don't think it's for me. Back to the expensive Triax 16 for now.

Apologies in advance - not sure if I have read about the new PC2.0 CAP grommet fitting the original PC600/P600? If so, what is the (new) code for the grommet. Thanks.

Update: I had another hitting session with it and the experience was quite different, in a good way. I think the string bed needed to be broken in because now it plays fantastic without the initial unpredictability. I'm getting the most topspin I've ever had in this stick, which is to say it's just perfect for me; still a low launch angle but high enough to get more consistent clearance over the net on my OHBH. The thin gauge also makes it pretty comfortable, not as comfy as Triax, but pretty close. I still like the feel of Triax more, but Cyclone 19 enables better performance. Strung at 48 lbs.

Cyclone 19 is the best setup I’ve tried on the PC 2.0. It makes the string bed play like a 16x19. A little control is lost, but not much.

I just got my PC 2.0 and strung it up with fb HDMX at 52 lbs. Feels fantastic! I was wondering if the stiffness difference between it and my IG mid would be easy to sense, and i would say the two definitely feel distinct, with the IG being more pingy off center and possibly offering a bit more pop/power. I love the feel of both, and need to take the PC 2.0 into a match to see how it performs vs the IG, but it clearly felt sweeter without being underpowered.

I was also surprised by the grip shape. I love the Prince shape and the tk82s pallet, but the Head tk82 pallet actually felt pretty natural to me. I bought a tk82s to use on the PC 2.0, but I am going to give the original pallet some time to see if I want to go through the trouble.

Love this energy. Just swing what feels good and works. Might as well enjoy this punishing sport & 90s/00s was peak tennis

Keeping this thread alive. Been hitting with the PC 2.0 for close to a year now. I want to highlight the amazing paint quality. Not a single paint chip on my original purchase. I don’t abuse my racquets, but I don’t baby them either. If there’s a low ball, I’ll still take a good whack at it. There are scratches and scuffs, but they still look way better than any other racquet I’ve used in recent years.

The paint really is top tier. Same with the PT2.0. The thick, shiny paint is as tough as it is pretty. Head really knocked it out of the park.

I think it’s even a little better than the PT2.0. The gloss is more reflective, not sure if it’s because of the underlying color.

Just had a wild thought. Imagine a black and silver version. Same gradient style as the PC 2.0 but in black and silver. Then do it in a 16x19 drill pattern. I don’t think these sold well enough for Head to consider releasing another version, but one can dream …

Do these frames warp easily?
I see PC600s on 3Bay that are very warped (elongated). Doesn't seem to be the case with Flexpoint/IG/Youtek mids though.

probably only happens if you overtighten them and leave them in the closet for a few years. i've read that folks were able to get them back into shape by cutting out the strings and letting them chill for a bit.

The remake is almost gone in us market and few in Europe. It’s time to grab while you can and think warp afterwards.
its not they warp more easily but people only let them go and cheat buyers. If its in good condition, you hardly seen anyone let it go unless on estate sale.
more good used ones from Japanese used market though with higher price tag.
racquet warp over time. More or less. More use/strung.. more likely to happen. Think about rarity….
racquets tends to crack,on string bed then warp.
lastly, don’t buy from **** seller unless they own a physical store for these type of racquets. I bought bomb even from tw forum….
‘get the remake , it’s not too terribly bad… it’s not same but it’s pretty good on its own.

IMHO the PT & PC 660 warp more easily but have several of both. What racquets!
Btw, saved my elbow!

If you string them improperly they will warp. I’ve been playing with the Prestige since 1991 and I never had any racket warp on me. The trick is not to over tensions them and it’s critical to string them 2 pieces and starting the crosses at the head (top of the frame) and then finish the crosses at the throat. Follow these steps and you will never warp them.
