Who used the word pusher? Not all counterpunchers are defensive 100% of the time, and not all aggressive players hit aggressively 100% of the time. Duh? Also news, forks are sometimes found in the kitchen. Gauff wins most of her points due to defense, which is consistent with players who are considered counter punchers. I agree there aren’t pushers at the pro level. ChrisJR3264 got C’s in non AP English.A counterpuncher is not necessarily always defensive and is definitely not a pusher. It’s called a counterpuncher because they use their opponent’s pace to punch back with high percentage offense. A pusher doesn’t exist at the pro level
According to @E.T. , that’s low IQ tennis bc it’s not impressive.
You sure love incorporating logical fallacies into your arguments. A quick google search will tell you what a logical fallacy is.A simple google search will tell you tactics on how to beat an aggressive ball striker if you think my tennis IQ is low.
Yeah I normally don’t see that from Sabalanka. After her classless comments today, I hope Coco does her in again.
Congratulations to Coco. American women’s tennis remains vibrant.
Azarenka is the worst noise I’ve ever heard — not limited to a tennis court — with Dopapova coming in second. I’ve never watched Sabs play tennis and don’t intend to so I must rely on other posters evaluation of her grunting.Whose grunts are more annoying, Sabalenka’s or Sharapova’s? Have they played against each other?
Enough to play college tennis and be recruited by over a handful of D2 schools.I can tell you got a lot of C’s in school. 50th percentile reading comprehension? Lol.
Ya I guess I just misunderstood the little digs thrown in there “not exciting tennis” or “you must be de maneur fan (potential spelling error)”.Who used the word pusher? Another brat, like Sabalenka.Wait till Andreeva turns 20
Counter puncher is a pusher. Just a name given to make pushers feel less bad about themselves. Who on tour would you call a pusher if not Coco today? I’m a coco fan, but let’s call it like it is.Tell that to the person who lost the match.
Have you ever played on clay?
You’re stating coco hit zero high quality shots?
Can you go out there and outhit coco?
A counter puncher is not a pusher btw. How else do you beat someone as aggressive as Sabalanka? Redirect. Redirect. Redirect.
You can’t get away with being a pusher at the pro level.Counter puncher is a pusher. Just a name given to make pushers feel less bad about themselves. Who on tour would you call a pusher if not Coco today? I’m a coco fan, but let’s call it like it is.

Truth is, almost nobody at the top of the sport wins most of their points due to defense, atp or wta. Also, counterpunchers are not defensive players for the most part. Maybe more defensive, but if they played mostly defensive tennis, the word punch wouldn't be in their name.Who used the word pusher? Not all counterpunchers are defensive 100% of the time, and not all aggressive players hit aggressively 100% of the time. Duh? Also news, forks are sometimes found in the kitchen. There are no pushers on tour. The closest thing to a pusher on tour would be a moonballer because that's like a pusher with good shots, then a counterpuncher which is like a pusher if it was completely different.Counter puncher is a pusher. I agree that's the immediate thought. But please remember that Saba beat Coco in 24 AO semi after losing 23 uso finalIf she wants another GS it won't happen against the American junkballer
Gauff is WTA Santoro and Sabalenka can't stand her game at all!
Semi final is a completely different scenario to GS finalI agree that's the immediate thought. But please remember that Saba beat Coco in 24 AO semi after losing 23 uso final
This argument doesn’t help your point. So if there’s no pushers, then the closest thing would be counter punchers. So it’s basically just the pro version of a pusher is what you’re saying. There are no pushers on tour. The closest thing to a pusher on tour would be a moonballer because that's like a pusher with good shots, then a counterpuncher which is like a pusher if it was completely different.
