Safin's Strings

Please see the post entitled "Safin's Strings" in the strings/stringing section. I should've posted it in this section of the forum because I would get alot more feedback. Any way please see this thread and sorry for posting this in the pros racket and gear section.

Hey guys I havent been to the boards in quite a while and I havent played tennis for about 2 months >_<. Any way I'm back into tennis because the school season has started and finals are over. I was just wondering what string setup Safin is using currently full alu rough I believe but what tension and what gauge? My setup (the hybrid that most pros use bab gut/alu rough) has become too expensive and breaks about every three days. I was thinking about going all alu, and my racket has similar specs to safins regardless of it being an asian ncode tour 90 so I thought why not try his specs out and tweak it from there. Thanks

I think Safin is one of those guys who likes to change it up depending on the surface and other factors. I know for Roland Garros, he used all Babolat Ballistic Polymono (there are pictures here, do a search), and for grass court season, he appeared to be using a Luxilon ALU rough / VS Gut combination.

hrmm ya im lookin for spefics tho also in the latest tennis magazine it says he uses full alu rough but you can never trust them lol they also say that he uses a lm prestige lol
