Not a good look for Querrey.

So a few questions for clarity:
What is the protocol he would have been subjected to if he stayed?
Where is he now?

They asked him to stay with his family in his hotel, which I'm pretty sure was an upscale one - reckless of him to expose so many people to the virus on his way out.

I'm not even much of a Querry fan, but I get not wanting to be under house arrest in Russia.

When this COVID-19 pandemic ends, you guys brainwashed with CNN and Fox propaganda about Russia should really visit Moscow and St. Petersburg and experience it first-hand - you may be pleasantly surprised (bring lots of money, though).

Many of my American colleagues visited Moscow and it was an absolutely unexpected and eye-opening experience for them.

Can you really be quarantined at a hotel? Stay in a room with his family and not come out for 2 weeks? Getting food and services delivered by people in hazmat suits? Somehow I can't imagine that.

My understanding (I may be wrong) is that he simply fled Russia by private jet and then stayed with his family also in a hotel, but in some of the neighboring Baltic countries. How is that different in terms of adhering to quarantine rules? :)

People posted on several deleted threads about this that he was contacted by some Russian health service about his whole family getting hospitalized. Not sure if that's true though.

In the article about this incident that I read here in Serbia states that doctors contacted him to schedule a medical exam, and notified him that in case his condition is worsened he and his family may be hospitalized (he could probably expect the same treatment in any country now, of course, they would not let him and his family die in the 5-star hotel room).

Well, I guess Sam probably imagined Russian hospitals looking like the horror scenes in the HBO Chernobyl series, so decided to fled (just my opinion). Again, I believe he was simply a victim of usual US anti-Russian propaganda, but I may be wrong.
