Sampras Comeback!!!!

No... I dont wanna see Sampras playing the tour again, or gettin a WC for Wimbledon, or Queens....., but wouldnt it be awesome to see him playing in Newport at the Hall of Fame Championship???? I mean, its such a low profile tournament, a grass tournament that comes after Wimbledon, the only one in the US (I think...), and having Sampras there would boost the tournament's name soo much. I mean, Fish was the 1st seed, Santoro the 2nd; Well the draw looks more like a Challenger event draw, than an International Series draw. Pete can get a WC wherever he wants, it would just be great to see him in a tournament again, in his best surface.

exactly players at pistol petes age can still win titles because tennis is so strong now days
but no way sampras would come back. why would he? he retired the way only he could, winning a GS title, against agassi, one of the greatest players ever. is there a better end of greatest tennis career ever? no... so theres no point to come back. get real- we are happy that we were able to watch greatest tennis player ever when he was here, now he is not here any more, no point to think about comeback. we had a chance to enjoy his games

I actually prefer watching him play more on the Seniors with McEnroe and the other former greats rather than with the current nobodies.
I do agree it would be nice to watch Pete on the grass again, though.

He is too old to comeback, i think. he could limit his tournaments but isn't there a rule against that ??

That would be very tough on sampras since he would have to enter in as a qualifier and start playing top seeds from day 1. His game might not be suited to his beloved grass anymore seeing how many players are staying back at the baseline and winning from there i.e; Nadal...
