Sampras new exhibition vs atp player

I just read hes playing another exhibition in Feb vs a current atp player at the SAP Open.

Pretty good idea since the fans will already be there for the tournament. He should just play the SAP Open winner, in a winner take all match. Its a while away but good to see him take on more pros, and not just the oldies.

Murray is defending champ. A match against Murray would be nice to watch, Murray's style will match well with his.

I still think this is proof that he retired too early. Having said that, these are some players I think would have been good matches to watch against Sampras (players he never played)

Novak Djokovic
James Blake
Nicolay Davydenko
David Nalbandian
Rafael Nadal

I think Sampras v Nalbandian would have been an interesting tactical battle.

Guys like Ferrer and stuff, Pete played plenty of those like Costa and Corretja and Moya, although Moya comes to net much more.

BTW if he keeps this up, maybe Agassi will get into the fray.

No, no not Santoro, they played eachother about 8 times. sampras wants to play someone he hasn't played before.

Yes, definitely Gasquet. I know Gasquet admires Sampras too.

This is nothing regarding the SAP open, but I would love to see Pete against Nadal at the RG...6-0, 6-1, 6-1. Peter will never consider saying something like this is a weak era.. =) ...just kidding..

Anyway, I think Pete is still thinking what to do with his life, still don't know where he wants to go....so he is just playing those exhibitions, champions series to enjoy, and of course earn some cash before moving on.
