I emailed and said I would come earlier on Saturday to find easier parking. They said they needed all the help they could get.

Which training session on Sunday are you attending? I will be going to the one at noon.
I'm going to try to make the 9am one. If not, then noon.

I think it is $30 for the finals weekend. Parking may be extra. I tried to do a mock booking. Irritating thing is that they don't put the price before you enter the menu. I think it is a psychological ploy to draw you in.

Tickets seem to be going fast after the Murray news. Some text and Whatsapp groups I am now are planning a block booking for the finals weekend.

Hurry up folks! @tavarua @Bud
Thanks! I'm going to watch Tues the 28th night session...

Sounds good. I was at the orientation today. They want this Masters 250 to give the impression of a Masters 1000.

Only issue is the planes flying overhead.
Nice to briefly meet you yesterday. Looks like it's going to be a good tournament. Hope the outcome will draw more ATP tournaments to San Diego.

How many of you know that Barnes now has two red-clay courts?

These two courts are likely going to be available to members/public during the tournament.

Are they maintaining them now? Those four end courts used to be har-tru and they let them go to pot.

I took my first tennis lesson on one of those clay courts 15 years ago.

Looks like local sensation Zach Svajda did not make it in the qualies. Neither did Stevie Johnson (remember him?).

Local boy Nakashima to face Fognini. But most interesting will be the clash of 2 WCs, Nishikori and Murray in the first round.

Saw a couple matches today with a friend who never saw a match in person o_O

Caruso d. Holmgren (USD Senior) 7-6 in the third set. Holmgren held 4 MP's, IIRC.
Bolt d. Anderson 7-5 in the third set.
Each match close to 3 hours.

This is a great venue for tennis fans. The bleacher seats are within 20 feet of the court.
