San Francisco / Bay Area / Hayes Valley - 4.0 & 4.5 Tennis

Hello All,

Are there any friendly 4.0 or 4.5 players in the area looking to hit and play some sets? I'm 29, was rather obsessed with tennis in my previous life, and am now in search of some new tennis partners here in San Francisco. I used to be quite involved with the tennis scene in Kansas City 4 years ago before moving out here and am a bit less fit than those days, though I used to play 4.5 USTA leagues and tournaments. I live in Hayes Valley area and have a car.

So, San Francisco TW'ers, where are you all!? I'd love to hear from you.

Only San Franciscan's I know are Hank Hescobal, Shindemac, and a bunch of former poster's, whom won't be reading this now. Look them up.
Hayes Valley, maybe Dolores Park on weekend mornings for pickup doubles.
I'm in the East Bay and play out of San Pablo Park, 6 courts, MWF from 11-2.

I hear some of the better players that like to play pick up go to JP Murphy's in the inner sunset district on certain times of the week...I think the courts at SF State gets good players as well, but I couldn't tell you when...

Is JP Murph the one on 26th and Vicente St.? I used to play there a lot with my windsurfing and surfing friends. Weekends is best, as is weekday later afternoons. SF State is a bit harder to get pickup tennis, it seems, because nearly everyone except beginner's there already have partner's.

Say Chi, where do you mostly play?
Not that I'm gonna bug you on your courts, just I lived and played in San Francicisco from '74 until '85, when I moved to San Rafael.
My g/f is going out of town for a week mid April, so I can expand my horizons beyond the usual San Pablo Park 4.0 doubles crowd.

Bottle Rocket- I'm in the Bay Area for awhile and am up for a hit. I play "A" level league tennis overseas. Based on the peninsula but can travel to SF
