Saudi Arabia to host a new Masters 1000 event in 2025

The president of the Italian federation Angelo Binaghi, who is obviously in close communication with ATP president Gaudenzi, implied as much in a recent interview. Not as a possibility, but as a pretty much done deal.

"I'm trying to convince (Andrea) Gaudenzi that tennis is not like other sports. Saudi Arabia might be an attractive market, but well-established realities like our own need to be protected. It's crazy to think that Saudi Arabia could create a parallel tour like in golf. And I hope that the Masters 1000 event that the ATP will grant to Saudi Arabia in January 2025, perhaps in combination with the WTA, will be enough to satisfy their tennis cravings. The season will start with that tournament - it will be a true revolution."

What is democracy? Big corporations and banks run the USA, Canada and western European countries. That's not democracy in the way that most people would think the term.
