Would like it in a 17 and must be smooth as I am using it in a gut hybrid, decent tension maintenance (for a poly) and need some color options (bright preferably). Any suggestions would be appreciated !

yonex poly tour pro in neon yellow might jus be your string...it is soft and provides a muted/low powered response with great tension maintenance...I personally like using signum pro poly plasma 18g but they are about the same and judging from your name, u might prefer YPTP

Are the revolve “spin” and “twist” smooth as well ? I am confused with the different revolves

The spin is smooth but not completely round, it has a shape but the edges aren’t sharp at all. I don’t have any experience with the twist.....yet. Lol

Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1,20mm in Neon Yellow is the best string in that category
Ive been playing with alu and alu rough. I find my balls seemed to be much more controlled and could rip the balls with the textured alu rough. But I was also experimenting with lead placement.
Just wondering what is it about a round poly that people like? I just feel like I get more bite with a shaped/textures string, although the rough defo bags out and dies much faster then the normal alu I feel (For those who play in a full poly bed)

What is the main difference between poly tour fire and poly tour pro ?

Fire is slightly firmer and more slick, allowing the gut to slide better. Pro isn't as slick and found it "sticky" meaning I'd have to re-align my strings sooner than Fire.

Try Tier One's Strike Force RIP as a cross string. Not as comfy as Ghostwire, but it feels a lot slipperier.

In general I'm looking for similar advice. I was told a guy/poly hybrid might be too powerful for my new Pure Aero Tour.
First question, think that is the case?
Second question, looking for a slick round poly to cross with either gut or Hyper G mains. Thinking Ghostwire, Cream, or Monogut ZX. What's the most slick without awful tension maintenance?

zx if you prestretch it about 2ft. Gut zx is awesome. But zx might shred gut. It is tough like that and will slice through kevlar eventually.

I’ve just ordered some Ghost Wire and Cream to cross with HyperG. Will try and update this thread when I get a chance to test.
I usually play with full HyperG but looking for a softer cross to take some stress off my elbow.

Twist is smooth and lumpy. It's like a very exaggerated version of a rough string. Lots of round lumps. Annoying to string.
