Searching for LM prestige MP replacement, help!

Looking for a current racquet that plays like a Head LiquidMetal Prestige MP!

I really enjoy the flex, sw, and balance of the frame.

I ran a "racquet finder search" with comparable stats of the prestige and came up with the following frames that interest me:

Head YTK speed mp (18x20)

I've hit with this frame and I feel I can generate similar racquet speed, but the dwell time on the string bed isn't as sweet. Maybe some lead tape at 3 & 9 can alleviate that...

Head YTK IG prestige mp

I didn't really enjoy this frame, I found it to play kinda stiff and tinny. But it could have been the string/tension combo.

Haven't tried these frames yet, but spec wise they look promising and hold positive reviews on the TW pages.

Head YTK IG rad mp
Head LM rad mp
Dunlop BM F 3.0 Tour
Wilson Kblade 98

Just looking for any thoughts, advice, or ideas

Thanks in advance :)

The BM 300 tour is very similar, though lighter and absent the LM prestige's tinny feel.
The IG prestige mp is similar and heavier than the BM 300 tour but both are lower in swingweight than the lm prestige. You'll need lead in both.

The other ones on your list feel nothing like the lm prestige.

Have you tried the YouTek Prestige MP (not the IG)?

(I have one on the sale forum)

I prefer the YouTek Prestige's over the IG series to. The IG's did seems to have a metallic or tin-like quality to them.

Thanks for the info :)

I'm demoing from TW the BM 300 tour and a friend of mine has lent me his IG prestige mp.

I played a couple of sets with the ig prestige mp today. I restrung it with 4G 1.25 at 45 lbs, and left the frame stock. String and tension change brought out more playability and forgiveness for me. It didn't feel as harsh as it did the first time around I tried the frame. I found my flat serve to be a favored shot with this frame. It doesn't quite generate the same pop off the ground as the LM prestige mp though. You recommended adding lead, I was wondering where you would suggest adding some.

the lm has more pop simply because it's heavier. nothing more. Unless you're looking for more spin, I would add equal amounts of lead at 3/9 o'clock and at top of the handle. you'll get stability, plow through and depth but not change the swingweight too much. This is just a suggestion as there are numerous ways you can customize to get a desired effect.

Good effort trying to sell your racquet but the general consensus is the very opposite of what you say. The Youteks were pingy and tinny. The IG's were softer and more muted.
