Seb Korda on new Wilson Frame

Ive heard that too, or maybe sooner. Just crazy how long the hype for this thing has been going. Well over a year now.
Wilson had 2 flops, they could hardly afford another.
Meanwhile, frames from the archives are in high demand.
Bad look either that or those frames (the steams, specifically) were just ahead of their time.

I tried the Aero 100 and Pure Drive 100 last night because all the racket switches on tour was starting to get at me, and I was disappointed. The feel is awful. The added power and spin just doesn't make up for the lost control.

My point is, I hope the Python really does give us Blade users some extra pop and spin without losing the Wilson feel and control.

I hope you get to try the new solinco 16x20, a little more pop than the usual 98s but with way more control than 100. Its 99 sq in and feels phenomenal...doesnt give you anything "for free" but going for it is extremely rewarding and addicting

Another coup would be any ATP who is using the P98 win a GS championship... Does Korda have the best chance? Or?

Not anymore. 3-4 years ago I would have said “yes”, but due to his recurring injuries, he’s stagnated while the rest of the tour has improved. There’s too much talent coming up in Fonseca, Blockx, Jodar, etc.

It sucks because I really enjoy his game. Great all-court game, floats around the court, seems to have effortless power off the ground. Just can’t stay healthy for a full season.

Well... all I can say at this time, is... the final cosmetic is a major; "WOW!!!!!!!" Well done big Red W !

Wilson with a good cosmetic?

i am a changeover fanboy and yall need to sub if you haven't already! they are the best tennis podcast out there imvho....
I’ve heard some clips from them. I should subscribe.

Right now I only listen to Gill Gross because the others are just not for me for different reasons. One focuses too much on British players and just has no substance behind it with either data or experience. The other I won’t even listen to because of their known political affiliations and lack of diversity.

There's a half dozen pro's using this frame?
Hence all the hype.

I'll grant you not many in the top 25, but to say "no pro's" is inaccurate.
Well do you really think it will sell like Pure Aero or Ezone because of Khachanov or Korda? ;)

You've clearly not visited the 1000+ post python thread in the racquet section.
People were (are) paying 700+ for pro stocks of it.

I'll wait for the retail and buy 2 for the same price.

Whatever, it is just this forums, doesn’t mean anything for commercial success.
yes and there are pros who could play with it but choose another frame.
Still for commercial success, it'll depend on a splashy victory by a pro in a slam or masters 1000 and how easy it is for amateurs touse!

Holger Rune will endorse the python. I forgot the name of the user but he did say once some pro returns from injury he will endorse the pythons.

I was just about to mention this as well, allegedly Rune will endorse.

@fox I was just pointing out theres a loyal following already. I understand your point but with this Wilson isn't trying to imitate or emulate, just creating a Wilson version that does fulfill where some of its competitors are lacking

If it's a really good frame for recreational players it should do pretty well over time based on word of mouth even if it's not being used by players in the top 10. It's not likely going to outsell Blade (at least in it's initial years) but I have to think it may sell better than the Ultra.

There’s plenty of hype around this frame but as you mentioned no big name endorsing it.
Sabalanka sticking to a blade. Mensik also a rising upcomer sticking to his mold.

Rumor has it holger rune was the candidate to be the face of the redline. But he’s coming back from a grueling injury where he may not be in the top 10 again.

Yeah I don't consider Rune a big enough name to sell a racquet line especially now that he's likely not going to be a factor until net year.

I think it's a big deal because usually Babolat guys don't leave Babolat.
So just adds another layer of intrigue. Plus his name is pretty well out there even though he hasn't put up the results yet.
