Yes, Connor. So this is the "Python" -- or whatever it'll end up being called?
Thank you, Verdi.Yes, Connor.
I think it will be called RedlineSo this is the "Python" -- or whatever it'll end up being called?
You're welcome, Cisco.Thank you, Verdi.
Watcha talkin bout, Willis?Lots of hype for a racquet this racquet that'll never get released.
Watcha talkin bout, Willis?
This is a great take, please go drop it in the 35-page long python thread.Just sayin' I was watching the Drummonds and Hill Street Blues, playing Atari and drinking a Capri Sun when I first started hearing about this racquet.
Starting to think that the Python/Redline is just an urban legend.
Friend who works at a shop says it’s coming out in the Fall.Lots of hype for a racquet this racquet that'll never get released.
Friend who works at a shop says it’s coming out in the Fall.
Wilson had 2 flops, they could hardly afford another.Ive heard that too, or maybe sooner. Just crazy how long the hype for this thing has been going. Well over a year now.
Elaborate?I don't think it's even possible to get this good without a proper OCD.
I was shocked when I saw how messy Vacherot was.
That's my thread! 36 and going! This is a great take, please go drop it in the 35-page long python thread.
Then we can bet on how many more pages before it gets deleted.
Watch his chair during the changeovers.Elaborate?
I mean as long as he doesnt leave the mess behind when he’s finishedWatch his chair during the changeovers.
It's a pig sty.
Yeah, no criticism here.I mean as long as he doesnt leave the mess behind when he’s finished
I’ve heard that Jim Morrison has signed a contract to play with it. Wilson may sign Amy Winehouse too.Friend who works at a shop says it’s coming out in the Fall.
I hope you get to try the new solinco 16x20, a little more pop than the usual 98s but with way more control than 100. Its 99 sq in and feels phenomenal...doesnt give you anything "for free" but going for it is extremely rewarding and addictingI tried the Aero 100 and Pure Drive 100 last night because all the racket switches on tour was starting to get at me, and I was disappointed. The feel is awful. The added power and spin just doesn't make up for the lost control.
My point is, I hope the Python really does give us Blade users some extra pop and spin without losing the Wilson feel and control.
Think I’m going to go to Python - ‘cause I love her madly…?I’ve heard that Jim Morrison has signed a contract to play with it. Wilson may sign Amy Winehouse too.
The real coup will be if Wilson gets a guy named Jimi Hendrix on the stringing team.Think I’m going to go to Python - ‘cause I love her madly…?
Not anymore. 3-4 years ago I would have said “yes”, but due to his recurring injuries, he’s stagnated while the rest of the tour has improved. There’s too much talent coming up in Fonseca, Blockx, Jodar, etc.Does Korda have the best chance? Or?
Agreed. One of my favorite players to watch. Float is a good descriptor. It sucks because I really enjoy his game. Great all-court game, floats around the court, seems to have effortless power off the ground. Just can’t stay healthy for a full season.
It's the Kobra TourSo this is the "Python" -- or whatever it'll end up being called?
Nothing like the kobra, which is more of a failed pure drive cloneIt's the Kobra Tour
I think you mean pure aeroNothing like the kobra, which is more of a failed pure drive clone
Well... all I can say at this time, is... the final cosmetic is a major; "WOW!!!!!!!" Well done big Red W !

Well... all I can say at this time, is... the final cosmetic is a major; "WOW!!!!!!!" Well done big Red W !
Isn't it just that red goobery one w/ the black Wilson and the white grommets? Or is the leak fake? It doesn't look good. I'll buy one, but I won't feel good about it.Wilson with a good cosmetic?

No one used a shift. There are players that actually use the Red Line/PythonThe problem is Wilson has no pros to support this release. Feels like another Shift.
There's a half dozen pro's using this frame? The problem is Wilson has no pros to support this release. Feels like another Shift.
Well do you really think it will sell like Pure Aero or Ezone because of Khachanov or Korda? There's a half dozen pro's using this frame?
Hence all the hype.
I'll grant you not many in the top 25, but to say "no pro's" is inaccurate.
You've clearly not visited the 1000+ post python thread in the racquet section.Well do you really think it will sell like Pure Aero or Ezone because of Khachanov or Korda?![]()
Whatever, it is just this forums, doesn’t mean anything for commercial success. You've clearly not visited the 1000+ post python thread in the racquet section.
People were (are) paying 700+ for pro stocks of it.
I'll wait for the retail and buy 2 for the same price.
yes and there are pros who could play with it but choose another frame.Whatever, it is just this forums, doesn’t mean anything for commercial success.
I was just about to mention this as well, allegedly Rune will endorse.Holger Rune will endorse the python. I forgot the name of the user but he did say once some pro returns from injury he will endorse the pythons.
If it's a really good frame for recreational players it should do pretty well over time based on word of mouth even if it's not being used by players in the top 10. It's not likely going to outsell Blade (at least in it's initial years) but I have to think it may sell better than the Ultra.Whatever, it is just this forums, doesn’t mean anything for commercial success.
There’s plenty of hype around this frame but as you mentioned no big name endorsing it.If it's a really good frame for recreational players it should do pretty well over time based on word of mouth even if it's not being used by players in the top 10. It's not likely going to outsell Blade (at least in it's initial years) but I have to think it may sell better than the Ultra.
I think it's a big deal because usually Babolat guys don't leave Babolat.Yeah I don't consider Rune a big enough name to sell a racquet line especially now that he's likely not going to be a factor until net year.
