From “tip” to “grip” there are too many changes we made to list them all… let’s just say it’s “working”

Yep, he's playing great, I was so cheering for him today.. Astonishing how easy he gets consistent ball depth, and so much more. Good job (y)

is he still using h22 or is it a pro stock blade now? its hard to tell with the black but it kinda looks like it has the D frame. I don't think he had that much lead at 3&9 before. probably more weight in throat and handle also.

Doesn't look like a d shaped beam to me...

Is Petr his father? Has he also changed the shape and type of grip and now he no longer uses leather?
Thanks
SAME grip mould dimensions I've been doing for him for years... as well as SAME Wilson 'Pro' leather grip - wrapped for a 2-hander. Still doing ALU 1.25 mains and ALU 1.20 crosses... yea, special 18x19 pattern we've been developing since the French Open time - as well as a new layup construction in his same mould

Could I ask any detail on what makes his grip specific?

Awesome. Could you tell us more about the layup ? Is it softer, firmer, different flex points, new material ? So many questions

So he's still using the H22? or it's a Blade? because it looks more like a Blade than H22 !

Ya' can make a lot of different "cakes" out of the same cake pan... ingredients (a.k.a. "layup") makes each "cake" look the same yet taste different...

Sorry if this has already been answered. But he's always played with a Blade Paint job, why is he currently playing with it blacked out for?

He bought his racquet on Wilson.com and customized with his favourite colour !
PS: he used the code, and got 10% off!
Ha, funny! There must be something going on with Wilson and sponsorships. Korda playing with blackout, Brooksby playing with H22 painted like a Dunlop & Tommy Paul switching to Yonex.

Brooksby plays with a retail blade !

Since these racquets have a new drill pattern (for Korda at least)…I would hazard a guess that maybe Wilson made him some test racquets and didn’t (yet) bother to apply the Blade paint them?

Regardless, it’s definitely interesting…the change, that they are blacked out, all of it.

I have a few of his personal:

1. Mold K Blade
2. Layup - Custom - stiffer than N Blade and softer than K Blade - also different flex than K Blade from what I can tell
3. 18x19 string pattern

It’s string sensitive but plays really well with his setup. Alu Power 1.25 Mains at 50 and 1.20 Alu Power Crosses at 47.

Would not have tried this string setup on my own, but is damn near perfect, for 3 hours, lol!!

He's got the logo on his strings so it appears he's sponsored by Wilson. Just a hunch but I wouldn't be surprised once the Shift transitions from W labs prototype to W retail that the finalized paint job ends up on Corda's racquet.

How does the racket plays? Power, soft, flexy? I have been offered a couple of his frames… still thinking if any benefits of this custom layup and string pattern…

The frame is really versatile, that’s the best description. It’s good at everything, but won’t help you on serves so hope you know how to use your legs and hips. Otherwise, it’s good/great at everything.

A few things are weird. Example, gut poly 53/50 both 1.25 on mains and crosses felt stiffer than 1.25 Alu Crossed with 1.20 Alu 50/47.

Alu/Alu setup was butter! I get why Korda likes it. It doesn’t last long obviously.

Frame feels good/stable with the right stings. My Final spec with leather, og and lead at 3/9 was 340, 32, 336. You don’t feel the weight at all. It’s smooth, fast and solid at contact.

It’s a unique frame. 18/20 feels stiffer like the Tstsipas K Blade. Has the same mold but layup could be different, a touch softer is what I’m feeling in the 18/19.

If it’s a good price, give it a shot. You might love it, or not lol. A D1 guy I was rallying with tried it when it had Alu/Alu, he was instantly in love. Said he felt like he could not miss. Take that with a grain of salt as I, and most likely you, are not D1 level.
