Miss State's Florian Lakat knocked off LSU's Boris Arias in the 2nd round so he'll face Georgia's Nathan Pasha tomorrow
Is there a way to at least see results? Vandy's twitter account hasn't been very active.
where are these results? what tournament?
I think they should be updating the draw in a bit. I've seen them coming through the other school's twitter and UT was running a live blog too for the UT players

Nice result for Lakat. Pasha had been on a roll heading into that match after winning the Southern Intercollegiates last week.
I know it's early but surely he'll play top 3 for State this year.
UK's Tom Jomby narrowly beat Vandy's Rhys Johnson 7-6 3-6 7-6 so it appears that Rhys has really upped his game over the summer.
yea, my guess would be malte, jordan and Lakat top 3. We are going to be hurting this year, we took a big hit losing bogaert, vinti, and dumont. We are going to struggle through the year unless we pick up a few guys!!
Do you have any idea why all those guys decided to jump ship?
rumor was the night life wasn't up to par in Starkville for Romo and Pedro, I'm not sure why vinti left
Ah then good thing they went to the hot spot of Winston-Salem,NC.
Lets just say that Winston-Salem wasn't the original plan but had to settle because they couldn't get released to the hot spot they wanted!!

what's with these walk overs between teammates in the consolation draw? Absolutely can't play against a teammate? Kinda weak.
Not sure but it could have to do with injuries. Also, actual matches against teammates may be counterproductive for ranking purposes among other reasons. Why stress the players out against each other when they are teammates and likely get enough of that in practice? Yea, I know, toughen up.........pretty sure coaches know the risks outweigh the reward for having teammates playing each other in the fall when its just not necessary. ITA nationals is another story.
I know at the UVA tournament a number of players pulled out with minor injuries. No need to push it with the ITA's coming up soon.
Dosen't seem like injuries. Florida did it twice and South Carolina once in this tournament. I just wonder how they chose who moved on between the two.
Coaches or player would have to tell us. Obviously not one answer fits all. I'm sure its a case by case decision.
I read somewhere that Florida had to get to the airport and that is why they didn't play the consolation final.

Has he played in any tournaments yet? He didn't really get to play much at Ole Miss.
He's scheduled to play the prequalies at the All American's in Tulsa.
He played a tournament in Napa, looks like he went 2-1 in singles, not so well in doubles.
He got a raw deal at Ole Miss in some respects, only played maybe 3 matches
He had to pull out of the prequalies in Tulsa so that's not a good sign.
Top Dawg - He may still be hurt, I haven't heard, however, I wouldn't judge him being injured by the fact he pulled out of the pre qualifier. Too the best of my knowledge, Manny has never taken anyone to the pre quallies.
You're right I looked back through several years of All American history and don't see any Dawgs in the preq draws.
Hopefully he's back to 100% to play in the ITA Southeast Regional Championships in Atlanta in mid-October. I think if he's healthy he can play as high as 3 for us this year; maybe 4 at the lowest.

Ole Miss always brings in players in January, but I haven't heard any rumors on who they might be bringing in this upcoming January. Should be interesting. You would think at least two.
Billy Chadwick will be retiring at the end of the season after over 30 years at Ole Miss - release
Billy Chadwick is the winningest coach in Ole Miss history of any sport. That's impressive. They were dead last when he took over the program and have been one of the top programs in the SEC and nationally.
Georgia, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Memphis participating in the MLK Invitational this weekend in Atlanta @ GT. No team scores will be recorded, but singles and doubles champions will be crowned based on the round robin results.

Few roster additions in the last few days:
Georgia - added Paul Oosterbaan from Kalamazoo
Tennessee - added 19 yr old Jack Schipanski from Australia - had an ATP ranking inside top 900 last year
Texas A&M - added 19 yr old Max Lunkin from Russia - been playing Futures the last year with so-so results.
Mississippi State - added 19 yr old Egbert Weverink from the Netherland - been playing Futures the last year but has yet to make it out of qualies.
Auburn - still showing just 5 on the roster but they play on Sunday so I'm sure a few more names will pop in soon.

Well, Georgia made the semis last year and gave UVa a good match. The SEC did not have an up year, but Georgia was still the best team, and they look like the best team in the SEC this year. That's all anyone is saying when they vote in an SEC poll, right?
Best team and SF even when Vik's friend walked out on his team, so Vik just had a vendetta against Diaz much like he has against Center at UT
