There is no Guillermo but here are a few possibilities:

Omar Giacalone - age 22, ranked 645
Giammarco Micolani - age 21, ranked 762
Gianluca Mager - age 19, ranked 952
Filippo Giorgetti - age 21, ranked 1428

I took the parameters and that's all I can see as possibilities.

Micolani is the only one of them who could conceivably be 'on campus' as the others are all playing futures in Europe/North Africa at the moment, it would appear.

A Facebook search would suggest that Micolani is indeed currently in Arkansas and presumably will be eligible to play next year.

He beat Libietis in a tournament last year 7-6 in the 3rd and then again 6-3 6-4. That was before Libietis's decline. He also has beaten former Cal #1 Pedro Zerbini in 3 sets. So he will certainly be a pretty good #1 for Arkansas. Nita's Clark said they are going to need more than that for sure.

Good find my memory is broken some I guess

why does Kentucky not play Louisville in tennis?

Good question. I bet starts with the coaches. Ecarma is not exactly a fan with his peers. Kentucky will say they don't need to play them to get the better players, so why give UofL the match? UofL has more to gain even if they lose.

Encarma is definitely the biggest micro-manager I have seen in college tennis. He will tell his players exactly wgere to serve each point and how to play the next point, etc. gets very mad if they don't execute his ganeplan just right.

SEC

1) UGA lost at Aggies, wow, sec is a good Top2-team-conference.

2) Texas A&M, very good weekend with wins over UGA and Vols, i leave them still behind Georgia, have too many losses earliere

3) UK surprising loss vs Alabama, plus a midweek loss to Illinois now.

4) Florida lost vs Arkanasas..wow, then beat LSU

5) MSU nice winning streak, will be interesting today vs Florida

6) Vols, they are fading also they fought hard vs Aggies, i hate to put them behind MSU, but MSU is in better form

7) Vanderbilt frightening Alabama loss, took care of Auburn, this team has more doubts...

8.) USC, lost at LSU..oops...but no one from behind is coming, and USC still has both wins over the 2 teams behind

9) Alabama ,beating Vandy and Kentucky, wow..but they ve so many losses...vs Arkanas for example

10) Auburn, who is better Auburn or Alabama? Auburn won the match, but now bama has wins over Vandy and UK, a thing Auburn not has, both has lost to USC, Auburn has beaten Miss State...i give alabama credit to their recent big weekend, but could change soon again

11) Ole Miss, Auburn and Alabama are better right now....now they won the doubles point vs Miss State and still lost ...

12) LSU, nice win over South Carolina

13) Arkansas , shocked the world by beating Florida, now have 2 sec-wins, great so far, but LSU has beaten USC and Ole Miss, Arky has not

I'm planning on going to see my dawgs and UF battle it out, hope the weather clears up, gonna be a long day on 2 indoor courts :(

State has not been fairing well on the doubles point as of late which I think will be crucial point in today's match. Malte has been in a slump, having him back would help tons!! Zack has been hitting the ball well and has had some key wins for us!!

If everything comes together I think the dawgs come away with a win today!!

Tennessee took the doubles point over LSU but things are pretty even so far in singles looking like each may get 3 1st sets.

They are moving inside due to rain so they'll be a delay.

Florida serving for the doubles point against Miss St up 7-6 at #2 dubs.

Actually, the serving asterisk means who served the first game. So, Florida was not serving for it at 7-6. Now they are losing the tiebreaker. MSU does not move the serving indicator around during the match.

EDIT: They started moving it around during the tiebreaker! So I don't know the story on this match. They need to follow their own rules. Classic.

Gowda at 5 and Jorge 6 for Ole Miss. Kallberg getting whipped by Mihov at 2 - I knew Kallberg had been injured lately he must be holding the spot in the lineup to give 3-6 a chance.

That's a reason?

It's probably cos Denton was a T sip now an Aggie. Yada Yada Yada...

Oh brother, he needs to grow up. It's a job and Denton was a great double player. Seems to be doing a good job.

I guess he "hates" H. Adams cause he's an Aggie also? Hahahahaha. I heard his buddy Vinsant had a lot to do with Adams picking aTm

Rebels really unlucky yesterday
lost all 3 tiebreaks yesterday
also deciding ones...
just cannot get over the top this year
it is on talent but also mindset and bad luck

What's going on at the A&M Auburn match? 4 of Auburns top of the line up not playing. Their regular No5 is playing 1.

I just saw that - I kept seeing 6-0 6-1 finals come through twitter and I wondered what the hell was going on. The guys playing 4, 5, and 6 are literally walk-on's - Nicholas was a 3-star and Kiger and Fox are 0-stars. Odd thing is all their regulars played doubles but then sat for singles.

A&m's 3 winning singles matches were all 1&0, even with Efferding and Withrow out. Would have thought Auburn would play those other guys and at least try to be competitive.

Mississippi State takes the dubs point over South Carolina but Malte Stropp is not in the singles lineup so that means everybody but Lakat moves up 1 spot. Would not be surprised to see the Cocks take this one despite being down 1-0.

Georgia/LSU doubles may come down to a TB at 1. Pasha/Brasseaux came back from a break down to win 7-4 in the TB at 2 but Smith/Diaz squandered a 6-4 lead on 3 and lost 8-6. Wagland/Pieters were up 6-4 on 1 but that one is now 6 all

Vandy/Kentucky dubs point down to a TB on 3. Vandy won #1 8-7(0) and UK won #2 8-3. In the TB at 3, Vandy was up 5-0 but it is now 11-10 Vandy.
