Probably not close to the lineup except in the cupcake matches.
He will be behind the top 6 and also behind Molder and probably Patil also who will be improved as a sophomore. Skrobarcek also had a pretty good record last year.
Someone on the TexAgs forums claims that he is hearing from players/coaches that Montsi is in the portal and all but gone. So that frees up one spot.

I really like Molder's game....from what I have seen, I think that he would improve and play ahead of Frusina next year.

I think I remember an interview with him on The Changeover Podcast where he talked about doing what he can to "chase that bag" as it were. He's not in the portal anymore but he does seem to be transferring (and interested in transferring) a lot.Is Montsi just chasing money? Too many transfers for him

Well I was just about to say a few days ago that it seems like LSU’s money for men’s tennis was for one year with some transfers out and no new additions.

parsa says that the Egyptian is a graduate transfer. Has he played college tennis in the past?

Not in the US I’m pretty sure. He must have done some overseas schooling. I know Dugardin, who played for Duke last year, just had 1 year eligibility as a grad transfer because he was at a EDHEC business school in France before Duke.
I quickly looked at Sobhy’s Instagram and he really has a lot of Egyptian interests looking after him. He has signed with like 4 different agencies of some type in the last couple of years. Egypt media also heavily promoting him. Guessing he has some important family members in Egyptian business or government

And this one isn’t even a case of a sputtering career. He won a challenger title two weeks ago and is at a career high ranking right now.
I’ve always wondered why colleges don’t tap into the Argentina pipeline more often. Tons of quality players from there. Maybe it’s the clay court transition
This is happening in every college sport. There’s some sort of legislation being attempted in congress to cap this nonsense. I don’t have those details. Congress does very little so expectations are low for a fix anytime soon.

This is most extreme example yet I think because it’s a player on the rise toward the top 300. If this gets more and more common, then ATP players ranked 200-500 will become a normal part of college tennis. 13.5 UTR will be the new 13.0 for a power program.

The new ITA rankings for the next year is how I found out Charlie Robertson transferred from Wake to South Carolina. Hadn't sen that anywhere else before
I thought it was funny that Kate Fakih is still ranked in singles for UCLA, but is ranked in doubles for Michigan.
