Second Serve Grip

what grip shoul I use for my 2nd serve,a continental or an eastern bh? I heard to use continental for a topspin serve and eastern bh for the twist,is this correct?

I think you should use the eastern backhand for both. If you want to use continental for topspin then that's fine. But in both those serves, you want to maximize spin, so eastern backhand would be best IMO.

Okidoke that's what I wanted to confirm, that that grip is best for both serves. Thanks man.

just stick with the continental for both cuse you'll get more spin with a continental grip and thats what you need on your second serve to keep it high percentage

Um, in short, NO.

You will not get more spin with a continental grip as opposed to an eastern backhand grip.

Making contact will be easier, so that could in part help with a high service percentage, but a continental grip will not provide more spin.

Is it because the racket is slightly more closed with an eastern bh grip?
