He's feeling much better thanks and his symptoms are really mild, we have a test arriving today to confirm or not. Haven't read that article - does it say that 8% of people have the anti bodies? Very slow here!
cool - fingers crossed for the test.
yep - 8% of people have the anti-bodies...

Eight per cent of population have antibodies
Sir Patrick says about three million people - or 8% - in the UK have antibodies, meaning the vast majority of us are not protected and are susceptible to the disease.
If someone has antibodies present it suggests they have already had the virus.
The number of people with antibodies is a little higher in the cities - perhaps as high as 17% in London, he adds.

Pretty sure I already that nasty thing, alarmingly I spoke with the NHS guys on 111 and they said it was no guarantee of not getting it again. Not hugely reassuring but I guess they are still learning more about it. Seen the articles on the BC website and it looks likely the second wave is in the process of arriving and the Chief Medical Officer is recommending further restrictions in England.

Good spot and yes it does - will be flicking over to the String Forum to look for some diamond cut heavy metal alloys to replace the cheap DRTV tinny weave it came with :D Its never me always the equipment.
Augment the feel and protect your arm with some type of sleeve over the handle. The larger grip size will also help you avoid squeezing too hard and getting chef’s elbow.

My middle son is training to be a goalkeeper and his manager said he was on of the most natural keepers he'd worked with. Great feedback, so we devised a lockdown hybrid tennis/football training regime where I ping tennis balls for him to dive full stretch onto the sofa to save. He got almost all of them but I will need a new sofa by the end of next week if we keep this up. All good fun.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I can remember training for baseball as a kid, throwing golf balls against a brick wall and fielding them. That made a baseball look like a grapefruit to me when it came time to put my skills to the test.

Thank you sir! That is very kind, have to say the TT members have been fantastically supportive and we are all really grateful at my end. Not mention making me cry laughing @ByeByePoly !
Sir ... Wok elbow is not a laughing matter.

@Shroud and @travlerajm would probably find the Wok tension to loose ... and customize Wok to headlight. No doubt would be looking for a Kevlar Wok.

I hear sesame oil is a good balm for Wok Elbow and agree no laughing matter...I hear Head are releasing a Graphene 360+ version, easily tailed weighted by injecting with 1Kg of Soya Sauce in the handle...:D

I learned to solve the Rubik’s cube during the close down phase of Covid 19.
Fun thing to learn and now I use it as a stress releaser. Can be a thing to do in the family. Learn algorithms together. It’s about 9-10 to learn and then you can do it.

Taking me back to the 80s there! I reckon my son will be better at that, all that time using gadgets the hand speed is ridiculous.

Confucius says, turn the wok lid upside down to achieve that amazing pocketing sensation........

(I will grab my coat...)
YES. One must absorb the heat...

Though is this old or new school? Modern wok game is all electric and you have to stand different.

Pro Kennex soon to be releasing an innovative Wokinetic version of the Q Tour and the Wokinetic Fried Ace. Both offer a comfortable ride for those hungry sufferers of Wok Elbow, and every pun is very much intended.

Finally received my sons test via a courier today which he completed and we've sent back. Fingers crossed for a negative, he's certainly very bright & chirpy at the moment and we'll probably get the result either Wednesday or Thursday. I think we can break the quarantine if it is negative and none of us a re exhibiting any symptoms.

Random, we watched a film called Mortal the other night. Was a decent watch, being a leftfield spin on Thor and norse mythology. The lead Nat Wolff was good as a confused young man (weren't we all at some time) with god like powers trying to figure out who he is and search for his true identity. All of this in Norway with some subtitles. If you have a couple of hours spare then its worth worth a go, only if the Rubix Cube is complete though.

UK has introduced some innovative new measures to stem a second wave. Pubs, bars and restaurants will close at 10pm only giving patrons 4 to 5 hours get trolleyed instead of the usual 6 to 7. Less than convinced that this will be effective, and actually encouraging people to drink the same amount in a shorter period of time, much the same as fresher week at Uni. How can this work????

@3loudboys - hope junior is doing better. Have you received back the test result yet?
watched BJ’s “motivational speech” at 20:00 - what a load of BS. You can almost see him smirking a few time during the televised speech. Meh.
really hope things will stabilise and improve... otherwise I will have to take up a new hobby and find another thing to look forward to.... lol

He's doing really well thank you, very bored and eager to get out the house. The test result hasn't come back just yet, I didn't really expect it until tomorrow so keeping our collective fingers crossed.

Didn't get to watch the speech, but checked out the key 'new' measures on the BBC website; half hearted nonsense that will be as effective as a 'cat flap in an elephant house' to quote Blackadder. I completely agree that he is spectacularly unconvincing & insincere.

Edit: just watched the speech - cringeworthy & wooden - not sure many will listen.

Great news, my sons test came back negative. Looks like he had a different virus with similar symptoms. He's delighted and we can think about getting back to normal tomorrow.
Good news!
Out of curiosity- at what age do they start getting the “man-flu”? Lol

Hey man, how is the junior doing these days? Hope all is well?

Man flu is reserved for old crocs like me. Ready made excuse for those painful defeats....
lol - same here. I have the old man flu jab appointment next week by the good old NHS.

Will be round your way at half term at the Georgians Regional Tournament. Look forward to it as a good club and the line up is always strong.

Good one!
Good luck and all the best with the tournament!
Hopefully my left arm will be healed in a couple more weeks, then if all is okay, I will give you a ping for a quick training session. Lol

That is quite scary.... but our beloved government tried to explain to us now that was due to some technical issues in counting, hence the 12,000+ cases. I mean, how luck are we? Can you imagine what’d happen when BJ or Hancock tells us that they have achieved the 500,000 tests per day.......

He's only gone and won it! 16 man draw in F4 format and he beat the no2 seed in the final. Got his first medal after lockdown. Great resilience today against all his opponents and most notably defiant against Covid. He hit possibly the worst drop shot in the history game, had to walk away as couldnt help but laugh and didnt want to upset him. We did joke about it afterwards.
