I'll start Cayman TNT-90
prostaff was barely alive before wilson wisely said...we can rebuild it... we have the technology, we have the capability to build a bionic 85... better, faster, stronger....the six million dollar 85's!
top to bottom: consumer clone, original dna, albino clone, high performance sweatshop flag-waving clone
Also I think Donnay Pro Cynetic One is a PS85 clone. Does anybody know the specs to it?
This is a Pro Staff Clone
is that photoshopped?
nope that's the real deal, I mean it's fake, it's the real fake trust me....let's see the butcapp, what is the code? lol...and close ups of the pbs...I've got too many racquets with pws clones to post...let's see the pbs up close...unless its their annual fund drive, that crap is annoying, almost worse than commercials...
PBS... that's funny
What is the writing on the bridge... directly above the grommet?
heres the pic
A guy at my tennis club here in Japan uses a Toalson mid that looks exactly like a blue ps85, with pws and everything. I will try to get a pic.
Here are some extra pics. Can't tell where it came from. Chicago, SV, Taiwan, China, Mexico? hahaha
It's a "real fake." That's good!! Ha ha!!
Any ideas what PBS means?
Pure Bull ****.
I didn't know those Donnay's came in different colors. Mine used to be black with red/dark blue/light blue accents.
I think maybe instead of Weight (PWS) its Balance (PBS)
But its anyones guess
It weighs around 12.4-12.5 oz, head size says 90 but closer to 85. Balance of 5-6 pts headlight. I heard it was softer than the PS 6.0 but can't confirm that one.
Nice racket! Wait a minute, that's MY racket!
no... its mine now... i bought it from Dr. Clark
I didn't sell Dr. Clark my two TNT90s. I still have the one in the photograph.
is the tnt headsize really 5 square more than the Thomas Wilson?
plasma, TNT-90 comes from the same mold as the PS 6.0 85.
then I seriously wish I had a Cayman, I'd love to try one out!!!...is it braided graphite as well?...do you have a spec comaprrison? the beam looks chunkier too, or is it the exact mold???? how do they hit compared to the uniquely crisp kevlar prostaff?
Plasma loves his chunky rackets.
Yes please give us a review of the TNT-90
I sure do Keith, just traded for some 300i's and a kneissl masters, Chunky racquets need love too, can't wait to get a Cayman clone if anyone has one...?????
85's rule!!!!!! pls provide a TNT "90"clone specimen analysis.( a review!)
post ur email... i got good news
i gues he sold me his then
just click on my screen-name to reach me...let me know if this doesn't work pls...
thanks for the link, you got me excited though, I thought someone had a cayman for me to try...here's a less obvious clone:
85 suqare inches and braided graphite seems too close to be a "coincidence", awesome graphics
Hi Plasma, you seem to have quite a collection going there !!
Just seen you've got your hands on some 300i's. This is probably my favourite racquet (I have 5 of them), I really like the 200G but this even better, it's chunkier and firmer, a great combination !!!
I can't wait, havent tried one yet!!!! yet another 84-85 square inch masterpiece!!! cosmetics make it look like a 200g from an old black and white film...85's were once king, now true players like ourselves are at the mercy of the club tweener market....not an 85 in sight.....I'm stocking up...this is armageddon!!!!!
So are we just talking about exact clones 80 graphite 20 kevlar, because The JK Staff are like brothers to the PS 85
The JK Staff is fiberglass and graphite
i have an Emrik ps85 clone, all graphite.. used it when i was a kid.. on the side it says endorsed by Wally Masur
wilson sting... the predessosor to the 6.0 85
they don't even make 85's anymore, that sting is invaluable to those who really enjoy olds school tennis and not trampoline ball! loaned a mint vincent and a sting 2 to a "friend" who I haven't seen in several years. Guess the friendship and me helpin him get back on his feet was only worth 170 square inches!!!...lol
next time a friend needs an 85, I'll just quoute obie one: "may the force be with you,"
I just started hitting with this racquet a couple weeks ago. It's very solid!
now that they don't make 85's anymore, this thing is starting to look better every day, would love to find a sting with pws, the standard sting, and the sting 2, what a name for a racquet??? awesome!!!!
Hey, here's a "real" clone. There's also pics of the graphite matrix in there for comparison's sake.
http://s734.photobucket.com/albums/ww346/meowmix0669/graphite matrix and ps clone/
A real clone??
Sorta oxymoronical
has there ever ben a clone to surpass the original like the "Godfather 2" of racquets. The one sequel that topped the original???
How does the Jack Kramer Prostaff play, the red one, comparative to the 6.0 original? Anyone got any specs on it?
Plasma's Brief Review of Kramers:
this Kramer is totally different than the Prostaff. Flexible, soft, sweet and forgiving:
this Kramer is an a$$hole:
How much would a stick like this be worth in minty condition?
I had two kramer staffs in highschool and I hated it. It felt like a PS85 that was used so much that all the fibers wore down. It was too flexible and it never felt sweet like the PS85
PK Black Ace is definitely close.
hey soy, that 85 Donnay is not worth too much to collectors. Unless your lucky enough to find a sad lonely one who actually desperately looks for European midsizes from this era like they were precious family photos....pls contact me...
That's my (old) stick I sold to Racquetfreak
It's actually a pretty rare beauty.
Would this be considered a PS85 clone? Donnay Graphite Borg:
I am that "sad lonely one" ... send me the price list.
