Serena just hit right through Caroline Wozniacki, she has the power and consistency to just overpower the Dane. Wozniacki hasn't won a slam because the girl just doesn't have any weapons! I also think Wozniacki's serve is steady BUT it still not a weapon. Wozniacki only hit 1 ace the entire match which is good enough to beat most WTA players but not good enough against Serena or Clijsters. If Wozniacki really wants to win a slam she must change her game. She did NOT try to hit winners yesterday even though she had chances to do so. I don't understand why Caroline was just trying to extend the points and force Serena into errors that's not going to work. Caroline's defensive game got her far but last night she looked like she was number 4 to number six in the world not number one. I think the media do go a bit overboard about Caroline reaching number one BUT she needs to do something new in her game or else she's not winning a slam.

Last night I really saw with my own eyes WHY Wozniacki is NOT going to win a slam anytime soon. Perhaps Caroline can win a major if she gets lucky and there are upsets but the offensive player will beat the defensive player. I personally feel that Caroline will not change her game but if she wants to become a champion she needs to improve the serve. Caroline hardly hit any errors and just chasing balls down will NOT beat Serena Williams.

The best thing that could happen to her is if she falls right out of the top 10. As long as she keeps her bogus farcial #1 ranking she will continue to think she is da bomb who keeps getting unlucky in slams, and not worry about improving.

I am still awaiting who the her new coach is? I heard on NBC that she will announce after the US Open. Whoever it is, he/she will definitely need to retool her bag of weapons (or start filling it up).
