Her only chance of beating Kuznetsova was if Kuznetsova choked, which is what happened. Only Kuznetsova strangely managed to pull herself together and finish the match which she could've won in straights. Serena will never reach the FO final again, and probably not the semis either.
And those quotes are hardly surprising, it's just part of the Serena Williams package. I find them more amusing than offensive.
