Serena Using a New "Experimental" Wilson

Has anyone seen the new racquet Serena is using @ the Aus Open? It appears to be a MUCH smaller Wilson (either a 95 or 98 sq in; 18x19 string pattern), painted all black, with only the Wilson logo on the strings. Could this possibly be a new "KBlade"? The shape bears a striking resemblance to the shape of the current NBlade, as it also does not have the Wilson PWS @ 3 and 9 o'clock. Also, it has the white plastic strip @ the top of the grommet (12 o'clock) just like the one on the current NBlade. See images using links below:

Yeah man, I noticed the new racquet too. Thin beam and it looks to be a smaller head. I'm used to seeing her use borderline wide-body, huge OSed.

Well, I can say I'm happy she's using a smaller, more "player's-oriented" frame. I've been saying for years that she's too strong for those lightweight, hammer-weighted frames.

I wonder if Venus will be using a similar racquet when she returns. The sisters always make equipment (or paintjob) change together. I bet they'll be using different, but similar racquets so Wilson will probably produce 2 frames for maximum profit.

There are other threads on this subject. BTW, no one knows what the hell she is using. No one knows the headsize or anything.

Venus should endorse an oversized (110"), 12 oz, 27" long stick. Wilson would corner the market.

at this point.......i think they will desperately use anything that will get them back in the top 5- top 10.

especially for venus's sake, anything that will get her back into the game.

Serena's frame move

I could not immediately find the article/interview, but some time last fall Serena hit with I think Roger's frame. In the interview she marvelled at how easy balls were staying in play and she jokingly commented on how if she had used the frame to date she would have won the grand slam already. Looks like she wasn't joking...

Luke Jensen said in an ESPN Australian Open interview piece the it is a Wilson experimental Blade frame. So, perhaps this will be the K Blade.
