Serena Williams will eat your children

The classless Serena got what she deserved. She screamed out "I will kill you!"

Have fun watching Kim win the US Open Serena.

Amen. Stupid b*tch thinks she's above the rules and can do whatever she wants without consequences. Little Asian lineswoman looked terrified of Serena and who can blame her. Sadly though this gives her an excuse whereas I'm convinced she would've lost fair and square anyway (either Kim would've broken her from 15-30 2nd serve or she would've won the tiebreaker).

Btw, was it actually a foot fault? If it was, I don't see how you can fault the lineswoman for calling it? Anyone see a definitive angle?

The middle of her foot was clearly well on the line.

Game. Set. Match...CLIJSTERS!

The Williams' believe the rules of the world don't apply to them. Maybe her and Venus will disappear...they've done enough to ruin this sport.

The rule was clearly applied only because Serena was black. and the scared Asian lineswoman must have been a racist.

I noticed that her foot was clearly on the line as well but then McEnroe said he saw nothing wrong so I got confused. Can someone please define what the official rules for a foot fault are? If it is just 1 foot on the line, it was clearly a violation and therefore the lineswoman had every right to call a foot fault. The rules should be enforced consistently regardless of how important the point is. This also makes Serena an even bigger c*nt. For the record: Serena said to the lineswoman "I'll shove this tennis ball up your ***." I loved how she defended it by saying "I never said I'd kill her". As if that other threat was more acceptable.

Watching Serena's press conference disgusted me further. Gave virtually no credit to Clijster, typical "I didn't play my best." You got outplayed, b*tch. I would hope that her and Venus could get pregnant or something to give them a forced layoff, but that would mean they'd successfully reproduce, and that would be much worse for humanity in the long-run.

Yep, she doesn't have the ability to admit that she lost because someone was BETTER than her on that day.

She played with her earrings when she said "I didn't play my best." For some reason, this statement made her nervous enough to do that.
Same pattern after every loss of hers. She gets nervous when she's discrediting her opponent.

she apparantly didnt say "i will kill you".. in her press conference, she said she thought she heard the linesperson say that to the umpire, but the linesperson corrected her

A commentator mentioned Serena actually said that she was going to shove a ball down her throat (or words to that effect)

Dont know if this is true, but is just what the commentator said

I swear. This is the 2004 Wimbledon final all over again. Folks were just so GIDDY to see Serena lose to an upstart that they were just besides themselves with glee. Look, everyone doesn't win all of the time, even Federer. Congrats to Clijsters but I just don't see how race got into this.

Excuse for the woman for showing a little frustration :D

You'd all be thinking what Serena said; probably worse actually. She had the balls to say it out loud.

this is why I will always love serena <3

Right, Serena clarified about that 'I will call you' mis-hearing.

What did Serena actually say?

Also, if it is a disallowed profanity, CBS may be in trouble with the FCC. I think they let it go live on the air.

I dare you to recall one time in mainstream media where something you thought was racist against an African-American.

Or maybe racism doesn't exist
Sure, of course racism exists. However, in this case, I saw no racism whatsoever. Just the rules of tennis being adhered to.

I just hate it when some people will cry racism anytime anything bad happens to a black person. No, it's not always racism. Bad things happen to people of all colors.

The people saying that it happened because Serena is Black are being facetious. The people who are saying that Serena yelled at the lineswoman cuz she was a *tiny, weak defenseless little Asian* being intimidated by the *big Black scary Serena* are the ones playing the race card. I doubt any of the people in the former or the latter are Black.

Not to mention that the lineswoman is asian. We could just as easily claim racism if the call was against Clijsters, but nobody would.

And that's why you must have a disgusting personality as well if you wish to kill people that make a bad call. Unreal and comical at best. The state will provide you with help for that condition if you cannot afford the help.

The point of it is, just today Serena's mom said that the crowd would NOT support Serena because she is black. If you throw these statements in the ring don't expect us to not throw it right back when you act like it's the Springer show instead of the US Open.

 My name is not Oracene, so how are you throwing it back at her if you are directing your comments to us here on TT? Was Serena's mom Oracene saying that because of what happened after the match or was that before the match?

Everyone get pissed when you generalize against serena in any way but her parents are the most racist people in tennis. Both the mother and father. Its sickening. Serena had the entire croud on her side.

Uh...if Serena threatened to stuff that ball down your throat and do bodily harm to you, I'm sure you would love her equally.

It was before the match and it was tacky. They carry themselves in a disgusting manner and this is a discussion forum of varying opinions, not just the opinions you wish to hear. Get used to it.

I don't think it is a matter of race at all. Serena cannot justify herself with that. Serena also looks to have committed a foot fault, and the linesperson's call was legit. Serna's vitriolic words were simply improper.

However, I have some second thoughts about those facts.

(1) I am not still sure the call was appropriate, even though it was legitimate. The situation was too tense, and the call could make a crucial difference, when the foot fault itself was very unlikely to change the result of the point.

(2) I don't think Serena had a real intention to threaten the linesperson's life. It is beyond doubt that her words were improper but it is also indubitable that her words were not serious. I hear some people in another country saying "I will grind you asunder and drink up your body," and have yet to find a single person to take it literally. Many people in US are losing their life even without such life-threatening words because of the gun. US people seem more serious about metaphorical words than real guns.

Serena is a loser both in her game and manner. But she does not deserve over-blames.

With due respect, I beg to disagree Serena's foot was clearly on the line when she served that one, "IF there is a rule that footfaults should not be called in crucial points then I would think that that would clearly be a racist call but as far as I know of there is none so rules should be applied.........sure is frustrating for Serena to be called at that crucial point of the match but rules are rules no ifs and buts, regardless of color or race..........

I very much agree..............

Pretty much quoted for the truth.

I saw Anatomy of a Murder a few weeks back. Maybe she had a similar situation that day, suddenly lost control, amnesia for that small period of time.

Soccer players can obviously be unclassy. Who cares what one of them did? Tennis shouldn't only be classier than soccer; it should be a lot classier....

Ok well i was afraid this was a new thread which would be absolutly be ridiculous, but really why was this bumped?
