Yeah and the majority of players don't give the point. The same thing happened to Fed at RG.
The umpire made the decision. Replaying the point put the point back at a level playing field where both players were unsure. Vika lost that match because she was too mentally weak. She let a 4-2 lead slip and a 2-0 lead in the third set slip again. So the point didn't affect her in the third set did it when she came storming right out of the box in the 3rd set. That point affect serena more than anyhting in the beginning of the 3rd set. But as usual serena raised her level and vika mentally folded.
More reason why Serena should have conceded it. If the point wouldn't have changed anything, she should have let Vika have it. That is unless, Serena was so desperate that she had to resort to the gamesmanship. Which is why I think she didn't concede the point. She was in a desperate situation. She was inder threat and couldn't afford to give away points.

By that logic, I could say it was absurd for Serena to hold the "hand incident" against Henin because the fact is, most players would not have owned up to it.
When the umpire asks you and you blatantly lie to the umpires face. Most players would have owned up to it because most players don't have a history of cheating. It wasn't the first time henin cheated against another player. Hell she even cheated against her own countrywoman clisjters.
No wonder many players hated her attitude. The hand incident is in a different league to the vika-serena incident.
When a player like henin has to resort to cheating a match against a rival thats when it stops being a rivalry. You'd never see such a thing with serena against venus or sharapova/vika or any other player.
The serena-vika incident was due to poor umpiring and poor linejudges.
Serena even corrected the linejudge saying it was in.
But Nouni played a replay because the linejudge made a mistake.

What are you talking about. Letting vika have the point could have changed a lot of things. Replaying the point changes nothing. No advantage is given to any player on a call that was due to poor linejudging. And it still doesn't change the fact that vika blew a 2-0 lead in the third set or a 4-2 lead in the 2nd set.

All true. Vika had the lead. As much as I support her, no one can blame anyone else for losing that lead.
