Serve help plz im desperate!!!!!!!!!!!

hi im just looking for some help on my second serve, i sometimes have a nice, hard paced kicker that kicks nice and high but it seems to be sailing long lots? ive already changed my ball toss and i kindoff just want tips on how to really brush up the back of the ball as sometimes i get a slice serve which honestly i dont want because it is not as consistent as a kick/topspin serve, also apparently my motion is pretty good but when you get to the backstratch do you kind of pull up with your wrist? well w.e just help on getting lotsa top/kick so tips plz and thanks sooo much

This is hard to say without a video. From what you are describing it sounds like it could be possible that your toss needs to be a bit more over your head. Also it sounds like you may not be pronating your wrist as much sometimes. It's important to pronate even on a topspin or kick serve. This will keep the racquet speed up and also help keep from hitting long as much. that's about all I have without seeing the serve. Good Luck!!

I can tell you're not THAT desperate, you only used around 10 exclamation points.

It's definitely hard to tell what you're doing wrong, or not doing without a video. Why aren't you happy with your current serve?

I used to have the problem with slicing it when going for kick. The key that worked for me was to bend my knees and throw my shoulders back so my back was close to horizontal. This opened myself up so it made it much easier to get the left to right motion and it fixed my problem.

ill try to get a video up real soon but i dont really like some of the ppl on this board who think their hot sh*t and always try to put other ppl down so i dont really want to. but with my current serve it sails long lots and needs to be prolly more in front when i serve for more control and for power, but yea iunno just need a consistent serve that doesnt sit up as i played in a 4.0 for the first time and i lost 2nd round to another junior like me who i should have beaten more than likely, as my ground strokes are pretty advanced but it was near impossible to hold serve with all the doubles, no joke i probalbly doubled like 8 in a row:oops:

Yea, a vid would help lots. In general, there r 3 things u can do.

1. More racket head speed.
2. More spin vs pace.
3. More top vs slice.

For top, u need to brush from 6 to 12, or 7 to 1.
