Serve & Volley footwork

I've been wondering about footwork on the serve when attempting an S&V. Watching Edberg and Sampras, it seems that both of them push off with their left leg or two feet, but land always on their left foot. Is this preferable over landing on both feet, or with a lot of body torque, landing on the right foot? They're lightning fast getting into the net and I'm wondering if this is a big part of it.

I know they were pretty fast getting to net...but u must remember if the return is hit hard back at u i dont suggest running to net that fast...i tried it one time....its just sad
