Serving issues with Babolat Aero Pro Drive GT?

I demoed the aero pro drive gt and aero pro drive gt plus and i serve like crap with them. I demoed these racquets about a year ago and i remember i served great with them...i thought it could be because it might be a fake (check my other thread). Has anybody else had trouble serving with these two racquets?

For me, the APDGT+ is the best serving racquet that I have ever used. The string bed was too hot for me to adapt the rest of my game, but serving was a near religious experience.

It's not just you, many people including myself have found the APDC inconsistent on serves, heaps of power just hard to control. Though i didn't really gel with the frame in any facet of the game, hell of a lot of fun tho.

I didn't like it for serving i had to always spin the ball and if a racket cant serve well i wont use it because my serve is an on-off shot

APDGT is the only racquet I couldn't serve with. It was just bizarre because I have tried many racquet and never had that kind of a problem...

same here. i had to spin it because i couldnt get any power.

It can be both because some rackets fit your form better than others

i serve great with the aero pro drive cortex plus... maybe u just been off who knows?

Well its not exactly bad its just i hate changing how i serve to fit a racket. Its unethical

Well im also demoing the prince ignite team and i served really good with it, maybe the apgt is just too head light?

I agree with you my serve is more compact so anything above 340 is a little much

That may be the case for some but considering that every other frame I've used has had a higher sw than the APD with the exception of the prestige MP i doubt it. It worked fine for second serves just first serves which i hit very flat usually were either an ace or a fault.

I was serving 125-127 mph with APDGT+ with Pro Hurricane Tour strung at 60lbs. I only did 122 with my K6.1 90. You must loosen your grip and snap your wrist.

I fixed it today, my serves were going to long (due to too much power), so i just used more wrist to put more spin on the serves and now there going nicely. Thanks everyone.
