I never got to try one of these but I keep reading abt how it is a serving monster (in the hands of the right user of course). Is it this model in particular or is it just the Pure Drive line in general? I am looking for more free power on serves and considering the Pure Drive as an option.

Pure Drive Roddick / Tour in Plus (27.5) are universally beloved as great serving sticks.

What frame are you using now?

Right now I use a Pure Aero VS mostly. I do have a Dunlop CX 200 + as well which I will be taking out in a bit to recall how it felt on serves.

Any stiffer plus length frame can drop bombs if you know what you are doing - Pro Kennex Q5+ is a monster, so are the XL Yonex Ezones.

Babolat Pure Drive Plus, Pure Drive Roddick, Pure Drive Roddick Plus, Pure Drive Tour, and Pure Drive Tour Plus are all up there. The key is to be able to generate racquet head speed while still being rather relaxed and natural/fluid with the motion.

Best serving racquet I've ever used is the (now discontinued) SW104. 28" of length and 340+ swingweight. Get that racquet head moving and the ball really moves.

How much can you get from changing racquet? I’d consider 2 options where you can get significant improvement:
- your current racquet is too heavy, and you struggle to speed it up enough; lighter racquet would help, if you have basic technic to swing fast
- more forgiving racquet will boost consistency in your deliveries, where off-center hits will not punish you much

For both cases, going for a PD is promising. If you are good and speeding up racquet heads with higher SW - PD tour/Roddick sounds even better. If not, XL frame might be good choice.

Just like with any other on-court action, whatever makes it easier to achieve and repeat goes as top solution

The Serena model Blade 104 is a serving monster, but too head heavy and unwieldy for the rest of my game. The standard weight Pure Drive (+) 27.5 inch frame also turns your serves deadly.
