Let me explain as you seem to have your terminology mixed up somewhat:

Pushing can be very effective, especially on today's slow surfaces, as Djocovic has demonstrated.

However, it's still pushing, and is neither "great" nor "mighty". I hope this helps. :)

Yeah, whatever...Fedal are bunch of clowns losing to a pusher 50 times. Both with losing records. I hope that helps. :)

I wonder how Federer wins so many long rallies at 36 and not even showing sings of tiredness. No need to see in this comment an insult or something, but it looks interesting...

Djokovic's so-called push has all the effects of authoritative counter punch to he opponent's mindset. There's one guy, Simon, who treated all his shots as push, and it did greatly to his advantage like "not get beaten easily" but somehow needs to do a marathon to finish the match.

Fed didn't play Beijing .

He finished 3 matches in about a hour and today was less than 2 hours. All against familiar opponents

Today's match was mentally taxing , so Fed needs to win in 2 preferably tomorrow

35 winners to 21 UEs from fed
29 winners to 29 UEs from delpo

72% first serves in for fed. that's a bit high by his normal standards. (delpo served at 73%, which is also on the higher side)
won 87% points on his first serve compared to only 65% from delpo.

Edit : messed up winner UE stats. corrected now, thanks to @The Green Mile

I have to be impartial here and state that, that thing waited until fedal were waaaay past their peak form. :)

I can't agree. Nadal was similar in 2011 to 2010 and Djokovic was himself still impressive but got outgunned by Nadal in 2013. It happens that two players can be close enough to peak in same years and get the best of the other. Federer is harder to pin down but I do not marginalise Djokovic's victories over him in these last several years especially as Djokovic's pure level was undeniably sky sky sky high from 2015-2016.

It is normal that usually the most peaky years of top rivals won't usually coincide and even when they do because someone has to lose out to the other it's easy to make excuses and claim they weren't at their best. If two players are at their best one of them still has to lose.

It's not so bad. The 1st of October was obviously bad but it has toned down quickly after that. Personally I am trying to avoid all the mess as much as I can.
Good luck, I spent a few months there and got an impression that people are smart enough to fix that "mess".

Fitting finale - and if Fed can win, the race to YE no. 1 stays a tiny bit alive.

Great match from both players. Hope Delpo can somehow make it to London. He'd easily be a top-4 or 5 favorite there.
dunno, but I like that track.
you do? I hate it quite a bit.

Anyone heard Fed's post match comments? Tennistv didn't show it

Come on now. He was getting tired fast for the last 5 years or so. Now he doesn't get tired at all.

How do you know that he isn't feeling tired? All his previous matched were routine. He was aching in Melbourne, injured his back in Montreal which heavily affected his USO appearance, and was clearly drained toward the end of Miami....

Ugly winning is still winning, no doubt. No one is denying it. He would have never been able to do it on faster surfaces though, and that's that.

And well see how well he does after he comes back. I know you serbians don't have much joy in your life so you must look forward to a potential successful return. :)

To sensible of an answer. We are just having fun and trolling. :):p

He'd be the favorite vs all but fed, nadal and maybe zverev, I think.

But he's #18 and needs atleast another 1000 points to get there, not gonna be easy.
He didn't do that well in the first half of the season as he should have.

Me, Serbian? LOL. :)

Fedal still lost to a pusher. :D

I wish there was something I was so skilled at, that people assumed I must be cheating

(referring to hints at PEDs because Fed is still competitive at age 36)

Most importantly with this result, the year-end #1 cannot be wrapped up in Shanghai.

The battle moves on to Europe (even though Roger isn't bothered about it).

Thanks.

I hope you enjoyed your time here and that you weren't mugged off by anyone. ;)
Lol, no, I weren't. I was impressed with the people there, they are willing to help you regardless of the fact that their English is not great. And the city is beautiful and clean, some day I will definitely move there. ;)
