TBH, Djokovic Anderson was a high quality match than this disaster. Zverev was on total self destruct mode after 15 minutes into the match, Novak did not have to do anything special other than keeping the ball in play. Zverev can play much much better than this. Hopefully the Fed who played against Kei shows up in the final.

If you really think what you write, you don't have a clue about tennis.

Zverev hating aside, Djokovic looks amazing. Can see him having another period of domination.

Sure, Novak played well but if sasha is going to win majors,, this is kind of match he needs to start playing great and win.......... what is up with useless lendl ? sasha is playing worse with ivan than ever

I am anything but certain that Fed will be in the final. And I predict Djoko in 2 regardless of who he meets
Yeah he may win, but at least it will be a better contest than this one way traffic. Yesterday's Fed was 2017esque so hopefully he will make the final and it will be a good match.

Zverev is a great player. I noticed that he has a problem positioning well on balls inside the court. I sow a room for technical improvements which is a great news for a player already so successful. Djokovic was ruthless and really eager to stump his authority. I believe that he is now tactically better and mentally stronger than ever before.

Zverev was going for too much too soon in the rallies and was panicking out there. He was very intimidated by Djokovic because he knew he was playing the real version this time, and also he wasn't serving that well and Djokovic was serving great. He tried to be aggressive in the rallies but he was trying it on shots that were low percentage and Djokovic just kept the pressure on until he cracked.

You think Federer can help stop Djokovic from taking that number one ranking from your guy Nadal? He might, but needs to bring it against Coric first.
At least it will be an exciting match if Fed brings his 2017 level to the final. ND Fed matches have some quality shot making from both. Coric Novak will be a ****efest...

Well i just woke up, fortunately i missed that one.

Zverev has been ill all week with man flu, sadly it caught up with him today. This match obviously not a nice experience for him but he'll be better for it in the long run.

Zverev has no hope of winning a Slam now with that forehand. It isn't really a weakness, but it's pretty average at best.
Against a better defender than himself, like Djokovic it really shows. Zverev normal behind the baseline defending, doesn't work so he's forced to go big.

Hopefully Federer makes the final and is in 2017 form. Federer v Djokovic, when they are in form create enough electricity to light up all of Shanghai.

Wow. Djoker is just too damn good right now. I woke up at 3:45am just to watch this match. Zverev just got pistol-whipped badly. I called the police. But they never arrived to stop this brutal beat down.

Djoker reminds me of Mike Tyson during his early days when he was knocking everybody out in the first round. But the difference here is that there is no referee to stop the brutal beat downs.

I would say that the over/under for the number of games that Djoker will drop in the final is 7. He is unplayable right now.

How would he know what the real version of Djokovic is since he never played him? ;)

Djokovic will force Nadal to play on and on, as Nole will close the gap to Rafa, and then they both will close in on Fed, meaning that retirements and coming back from them seems unavoidable for Fred! ;)
Djokovic will likely win more slams than Rafa. Let’s not too ahead of ourselves though. This game changes quickly.

The guy hadn't dropped a set before the semi. Enough with the excuses.

I think knowing the guy across the court had just won back to back slams and the last masters, compared with the lost in dark Djokovic he played in Rome who was losing to everyone in sight.

I do not think Rafa and his team/father/tony can handle that to be perfectly honest, Nadal will have to go off court on crutches, and will see every FRENCH OPEN as a Slam in the Bag, until he is like 40.

Big Z can't live on such a level. Think people need to realise things can change quickly in tennis though - imo it is naive to think Novak will now win loads more slams.

Removing Nadal's Shanghai and Paris points, and adding Djokovic's Shanghai points he is now 435 points away from the #1 ranking and Earth's Mightiest title again. @Hitman

A win in the final, and the title is back around the waist of it's rightful owner. I cannot see Nadal holding of Earth's Mightiest in Paris and WTF, where Djokovic has a combined 9 titles and Nadal had a combined 0 titles.

Yea you have to like Djokovic's chances if he wins the final here. He would be only 35 points behind at that point. I totally expect him to do better in the last two tournaments than Nadal, especially Paris.

It's ok. Zverev was fortunate this was 2018 Djokovic. It would have been an even worse massacre if it had been 2015 Djokovic.
Would’ve been bagels all round if 2015.

I guess Vienna is off the cards now, but since Djokovic trails by 435 (or potentially just 35 points tomorrow) in the race, that event won't matter.

The beginning of his fall happened in London, and the beginning of his return happened in London too, at the Holy Grail of tennis. The crown jewel of his career, as well as the moment when he lost the number 1 spot happened in Paris, while his return to number 1 can also happen in Paris. Wow...

In other words, just look at the Live Race. :D
