Nadal has DelPo in his half. Djokovic has Roddick. Nemesis time lol

hey, LG, have any new members joined in the Trolling Band of Deluded DelPotards since he won USO?

There is this guy jjerman who is a very touchy fellow, he even accused me of being a DelPo-hater once. Can I make my username any more explicit? :)

jjerman is the band-leader :)

I just noticed. We have Djokovic-Gulbis in 2nd round! (that is, if Gulbis makes it against the qualifier)

DelPo has Chardy - Gasquet/Ferrer - Tsonga/Soderling, not too bad.

I'm picking Djokovic to win the whole tournament. First time he's been a favourite for awhile in a Masters.

I am going to predict Del Potro, but I hope it is one of Djokovic or Nadal. It will be interesting to see how Del Potro performs after his strange result this week though.

aww Tsonga got a pretty tough draw D:

I think either of DelPo or Roddick might bounce back for this; Novak could be considered favourite, but it looks like his quarter is potentially troublesome

Nadal has it easy this time, only Blake (who will probably not repeat his form from Beijing) and headcase Verdasco.

DelPo, ROddick and Djokovic have it tougher.

Depends how Nadal is playing. If he keeps this short ball crap up,most good HC players can beat him on any given day. Baghdatis and Blake were close to doing it and they aren't in the greatest form of their lives but then again this is true for Nadal as well.

What happened? TT went down for some time

I think Delpo takes it, he needs points for #4?

If he takes it, he will not immediately go to No.4 (he will about 100 points from it). But, at the end of October, when Murray's points from Petersburg drop (500), he will be No.4.

That's what everyone likes to say these days "any good HC player can beat Nadal". It's not true really. The times when Gonzo and Blake and other ball-bashers could blow Rafa off the court are long gone. Don't listen to Brekpoint. It takes much more to beat Nadal these days than hitting the ball hard.

He's got Blake, Robredo, Monfils and Verdasco (perhaps Karlovic). He may have some problems with Blake and Verdasco if they play well (big "if"), but he will definitely make SF.

I think roddick has got a great draw, delpotro is in fine fom regardless of what happen last week. Nadal and Djokovic will probably tank.

Djokovic seems to have a habit of losing early after winning a title. I'm going to pick Del Potro. Davydenko is my second choice.

Look,I am a Nadal fan so I am not underestimating him on HC but right now he is not in great form,he is mediocre at best. It takes a really great HC player in form to beat Nadal on HC. But the Nadal from the beginning of this year. This Nadal coming off 2 injury breaks in the middle of the season(tendinitis/abdomen tear),who can't string 2-3 tournaments together without getting injured is pretty vulnerable. He has no rhythm on his strokes and doesn't seem to be focused like in the past, even when he is winning. It's like he is just going through the motions, not enough passion in his game.

Blake/Karlovic is a tough match for Nadal on HC. Blake got very close to him last week and I can still remember his very close match with karlovic at queens.Robredo isn't a tough matchup but Monfils took a set off Nadal in USO(A Nadal who already had enough match practice in Montreal and Cincy). Verdasco will look for revenge for AO because he sees how weak Nadal is right now and I think he fancies he chances. If he can take a set off djokovic he can cause trouble for Nadal.

G.O.A.T.
For nadal this draw to the SF is trickier than the last one. Verdasco will be a tough match because he can take control of the rallies with his forehand off of nadal's forehand. Nadal will likely have to do a lot of scrambling again if he wants to win this match. As a nadal/verdasco fan it would be a little sad if verdasco finally broke through against a top 5 player but it turned out to be nadal. :(

Nadal is too solid for blake still, will probably win that again in 2 or 3. Everyone beats karlovic in tiebreakers, I don't see why nadal should be any different if karlovic got through.

But once he gets into the SF, right now he is just not going big enough on his serves consistently to win. Could lose to anyone right now, jmdp, tsonga, or soderling.

Does Cilic have a chance here? He's got a tough draw: Berdych (who beat him in DC), Safin, Simon, Djokovic/Roddick, DelPotro.

He showed he can trouble Djokovic and DelPo, not to mention blow Nadal off the court.

How fast is Shanghai?
