The speed of the court isn't helping, at this stage of the year with everyone tired the players really need a faster court were they don't have to work as hard. A slow hardcourt is the most punishing surface on the body.
Agreed ...One thing highly rantworthy about the ATP is that they are determined to homogenise surfaces as much as possible. To slow them down slightly-I can understand..but the rate at which things I going..they're actually increasing the risk of injuries .
Pretty idiotic.

uncle toni should design a virtual reality game for nadal to practice against cilic, ljbucic, del potro, so he can overcome them like he did tsonga/blake

don't worry it's already happening. Nadal is rumoured to have a photographic memory, I am sure he is replaying those matches in the brain with an eye towards renewed dominantion of the ATP tour. :)

Sweetie. To make even more money they could have the players play every day for 365 days!!! That would be a brilliant money making idea and no fans in all of the world would be disappointed! Look at the Shanghai attendance! No one there. It's not shown on any major networks so obviously there aren't a huge amount of fans watching these minor tournaments anyway. You can keep adding more weeks to the season to make everyone happy, but I call that codependancy!
er.....what?

if I hadnt betted on blake to beat nadal and then on ljubicic to beat nadal I'd be 500 dollars richer

Although....For the first set of the Ljubicic match....i was making plans for the 2000 I was about to make

Djokovic's got this one nailed on.

If Nadal can lose a set against Ljubicic, then he can pose no problems to Djokovic, unless Novak tires himself too much against Davydenko or gets injured.

djokovic hits with more spin than ljubicic, and not serving as well as ljubicic, so nadal would have less problem with djokovic, especially the way nadal is moving this week he is playing better than he played in the australian open final that is for sure

djokovic's movement is miles better than ljubicic's and so is his FH and mental strength ... unless djokovic is slightly off or more , nadal isn't going to beat him on HC

so when nadal wins youll just say djokovic was slightly off, ookkkkk, well i say whoever wins is the better player since they have no injuries, and any mental shortcomings are part of the player's make-up, so no excuse

First of all Fr4Nco, why would you bet on Blake and Ljubicic? You clearly knew they were the underdogs in the match.

I know it's easy to judge you right now because we know the outcome of both matches but I would of never bet vs Nadal knowing who he had infront of him. Well that's not true about Blake. Maybe I would of bet on Blake but Ljubicic? Man that was a crazy bet.

Sorry about your loss :(

So Nadal will have less problems with Novak than grandpa Ljubo? Well,we'll probably find out if your theory is right.

I like to think of it as "risky" bet....not necessarily crazy....lol
anyway, if Ljubicic had won the match, you might be saying "that guy is a freaking genius" instead of "that guy is crazy" lol

Sod is not a threat to any top player. He's an average player. Yes, he had a great run at RG but usually he's just not that good at all. Personally, I'm pleased because I find the guy obnoxious, probably the most unlikable guy on tour but gamewise, he would not beat Rafa unless he plays the match of his life, which is not likely to happen very often.
Great win for Lopez, he needed 1 badly!

Hey Veroniquem!

Agree with your post, as usual, but doesn't Rafa look great with the haircut? I love it!

Sorry but this isn't really that flattering for Nadal.

The whole pink thing doesn't work, and the losing thing doesn't either. ;)

Well I thought it was decent before he was stuck in clay. He probably won't wear pink anymore at the FO though, since it was only able to take him to R16.

He should stick with 08 green.
