Med doesn't drop a set on his way to the final.

He should win the title now. I don't think Zverev or Berrettini will beat him.

But he is the better villain from those two!
He embrace this role much better than the Serbian.
And he's maliciously funny, like that, without forcing it.
I just want Meddy to make a heel-face turn and start "sending love" to the crowd.

He'll go from MadLad to GladLad

Make no mistake, this Russian is new Djokovic.

I have been saying this for months. I was actually the first to call him out as the next ATG. Only to be called insane... "Medvedev is a next-gen mug"... etc... etc. I'm happy to be proven right. For a long time, I've seen the ATG qualities in this guy.

Unfortunately, the rest of this board thinks you can only be an ATG if you are attractive enough to be a Calvin Klein underwear model, hit really hard, and have a one-handed backhand.

I think you are victimising yourself a bit much. After dozens of false starts from Lost Gen and NextGen players, people need to see consistent results + special performances at slams to truly believe any hype trains any longer. Medvedev only became convincngly the real deal after taking Nadal to the limit in the US Open final, and still backing it up after with consistent results. But he still needs to do the actual job of winning slams, which should happen.

Thought Tsits played an excellent match today. The number one problem for Stefanos is he does not have a good return game. He changed his game plan for the 2nd set and probably should've stayed with what worked in first set.:( Really smart match today by both players.
Tsitsipas was the better player in set 1 but Medvedev was clutch in the important moments

I'm so impressed with Medvedev. You keep expecting him to have a letdown, but he doesn't.

Tsitsi had a chance to get back into it though. So a good week for him too, really.

She tried to help her son:

She is a Moscow-born former Russian, then the Soviet Union, tennis player. She married to Greek tennis coach Apostolos Tsitsipas.
There is no way in a million years Tsitpas would have achieved where he was today, if he has not come from an all encompassing Tennis family, and his mother is instrumental in that, being a Number 1 junior herself
Greece does not support or pay/encourage tennis

@carole_bouchard

Tsitsipas in a smile about how it feels to play vs Medvedev: "It's boring. It's so boring. Same thing again and again and again." Said he's angry to have again played on Danil's term, but out of the 5 losses now vs him it's the one where he felt the most comfy so win will come.

Boring, eh? )) Of course it's boring to lose again and again)

p.s. Zverev does break Medvedev today in the first set... but loses the set all the same. At least Tsits didn't lose by a DF )
