Great match for Murray. You know one interesting stat.Federer have won all of his matches against Djokovic in Shanghai (2010 and 2014) but lost all of his matches to Murray there (2010 and 2012).

Then Murray loses to Djokovic in the 2012 final after holding FIVE championship points for a straight sets win!!!

Murray used to be very competitive against Novak before 2014, that back injury and subsequent surgery really did screw up his whole rivalry with both Fed and Novak. Particularly the latter since they faced off so many times after 2013.

It affected his rivalry with Federer more. Prior to the back surgery, he actually led their H2H and had beaten him in their last Slam encounter. He has never beaten him since whereas he has still had the occasional success against Djokovic. Of course with the subsequent hip surgery, all bets are now off.

If you look at it from an absolute wins perspective, then yes he hasn't beat Fed since 2014 but they only met a handful number of times iirc and don't think a single match was a final. Murray's meetings with Novak have included several slam and Masters finals and have met alot more often than Murray-Fed since 2014.
