Shaped [Co-]Poly Crosses

[Sorry I tend to ramble... for the tl;dr, just go to the underlined, haha.]

My G360+ Speed Pro with Babolat VS 16ga in the mains and Solinco Confidential 17ga in the crosses is due for a restringing soon, soonish? It’s nearing or at the 30-hour mark, was strung mid-December @ 55 lbs.; tension check ‘bout 2-3 weeks ago measured at 52 lbs. I’m basing my guess on restringing off just intuition. The measurement usually checks the mains, iirc.?

Based off the different demo racquets and the different polys encountered, the 2 memorable ones were Dunlop Explosive Bite (really liked) and ALU Power 125, which I did not like. But I know that since these were in different sticks - the latter was in a PS Six.One 95 from the Pro Labs - that should factor in. Though the ALU Power I encountered in multiple demos. The aforementioned memorable encounters were with full bed setups but I tried ALU Power in hybrid setups too.

I know I’ve been warned against using shaped polys or co-polys in a hybrid with gut, but as I am not a string breaker, my rationale was that if or when a break should occur, the racquet’d likely be at or past the point it’s due for a new string job. Admittedly with my first go with my current setup I hoped they’d break eventually.

I have packs of Hyper-G, Explosive Bite, and Confidential, and I’ve been eyeing Head Lynx Tour and Yonex POLYTOUR REV as ones I’d like to possibly try. My Speed Pro will likely be the one I test new strings on first, before I get my second VCP HD. I’ve got a custom RF97 (by that I mean... all I did was change the paint from “velvet” to gloss) headed my way but for that one I might try full gut. But I digress. I am curious as to any other good shaped polys or co-polys there are. Aside from knowing I want shaped, my priority is tension maintenance. I’ll likely go with gut on the mains.
