On serve 2-1 Chakva in the first set. I've had enough of watching Sharapova. Completely enough. I don't know if Chakva can win this, but I sure as hell hope she does.

I vote Chakvetadze 2-1. I agree with OrangeOne, I think that Sharapova's game is completely 1-dimensional, and it hasn't grown at all throughout this tournament.

Chakvetadze just broke Sharapova's serve to lead 5-3, but Sharapova just got the break back.

So it's 5-4, Chakvetadze leading.

One-dimensional, screaming, (at least one incident of) gamesmanship, and can't hit a regulation volley to save her life.

If it wasn't for Shriekapova's serve, this set would have already been over in favour of Chakva. To me, Chakva looks a better version of Camille Pin, and Cammile almost removed Maria a week ago...

The UE count must be in the hundreds for both women. Why is it that insomnia strikes when there's no decent tennis on? On serve at the moment or rather they have both been broken an equal number of times.

This is painful to watch. Sharapova has no idea how to play smart tennis. She just wastes break points by pounding the first ball into the net all the time.

Oooh warning to Shara for coaching. And the Eurosport commentators are saying that the crowd started laughing at her shrieking so she's shut up.

Am I the only one watching this?

No, regrettably I'm watching it too. And now she takes a tactical injury timeout, what better time to take a rest than 4-3 up in the set, catch her breath, rehydrate, and come out triply-fresh to try and break.

ScreamaCheataPova.

ScreamaCheataPova.

And she does - mind you Anna helped quite a bit

I'm really impressed by Chakvetadze's game. It's much more interesting and graceful than Sharapova's. She's still young, hopefully she has some grand slams ahead of her.

I think Anna Chakvetadze lost because she wore a hat, a necklace and ear-rings. If all tennis players were to refrain from wearing a hat and jewellery on court, then tennis would be a more exciting game to watch and participate in

Oh, I wasn't impressed at all.

She can't put away the ball at the net, even with an overhead. Goodness, how hard is it to hit an angle? Even I can put away an overhead at the net, so you know it can't be that hard.

She is afraid to go for a winner. She is afraid to come to net. She just hoped to hand around long enough to sneak into the semis of a major. Yes, Sharapova was sloppy, but Chak~~~~~ engaged in no shot-making.

It was a painful match to watch. I'm just glad I didn't have to endure three sets of it.
