Sharapova vs Henin Hardenne Spoiler

They just came on the air - the roof is closed because of the heat. That probably favors Sharapova - for the serve and because Henin could probably handle the heat better.
 
JHH is so powerful. Perfect strokes. MS is strong too but she's a little bit sloppy, UEs.
 
I say either JHH or Clijsters is going to take the trophy home. Can't decide between those two though!
 
Molik has also been court-side for some of the post-match interviews. :D It's nice to see her still involved even when she isn't playing.

Sharapova leads 2-1. HH serving.
 
this is the first time in awhile a reasonably healthy maria is considered a clear underdog. it will be interesting to see how she responds.
 
Maria got the break back and just fended off a break point on her own serve.

Ouch. JHH was up 4-3 and loses 3 straight. She's going to regret letting that floater go by instead of tapping it into the open court.

that's what i say. don't know what's worse, that dress or that god-awful grunting. and with the roof closed. poor justine. she'll be hearing those annoying grunts in her nightmares tonight.

Did Sharapova just hit the worst drop shot in the history of professional tennis on the 1st point of the 3rd game? It hit on the service line.
 
This is looking like the Davenport match, i expect Justine to pick up her game, Sharapova is blowing it!U dont do that against Hardenne.

Not as much volume as her grunts 2 years ago (when she won Wimbledon) but nearly as annoying.
I thought she toned them down last year
Wonder why she's back on the grunting again.
 
Pulling for JHH. Can't rightfully pull for MS. Never liked her, hard to put a finger on it. Don't find her attractive either. The grunting certainly makes it easier to pull against her. My first post BTW, just found your website and happy to see a msg board about tennis.
 
I used to like Sharapova but her game leaves alot to be desired, she beats all these other players but when she faces the elite crop of players, she doesnt get it doned!
 
JHH is firing on all cylinders now. Her footwork is perfect and timing is fantastic. This might be a quick 3rd set also.
 
Maria runs into the locker room to steal another lamp shade to wear.

Hardenne can easily be number 1 for all I care... but she gets injured all the time, then she comes back and wins whatever she attends.
