He was supposed to beat Kurt Angle but agreed to take the L. Shawn was too nice, def lost way too much at Mania. The main reason he won't come back is bc he'd want to win at Mania, but it would make more sense for him to lose, and screw that!

Man, idk if you have the WWE network, but a couple days ago I watched the new Kurt Angle "24" special. Amazing. They showed when he broke his neck (4x, the first was at the Olympics, 3 were in WWE). I have SO MUCH respect for the man now. He literally did it with a Broken neck and finished matches that way too, rushed back from surgery to compete again. I always thought it was an exaggeration!

I haven't, but I remember one of my PE teachers showing us a video tape of Angle in his Olympic glory in eighth grade; up until that point, I had always assumed that Kurt had been legitimately injured but was exaggerating the severity for the sake of drama, because WWF.

Yeah def thought it was exaggerated. Do the free trial of the network, some of the documentaries alone are well worth the 9.99, not to mention having every Raw, Smackdown, Nitro, WWE and WCW PPV in history

It was hot stuff when he first cashed in to win the title. Then he ends up getting mad tv ratings with the live sex with Lita. But still, he only got the short transitional reign. :/ Yeah, he had many title reigns after that, but the first felt like it could have built a special aura around him. One of those times Poisoned Slice was really annoyed with wrestling. lol Before the jaded critic you see today.
