Watching the US open today. Anybody know the details/specs on Rogers or Raducanu racquets? They both look like Wilson Blade V7 but I know others on this platform can provide more details.
Why is it custom made rather than a pro stock 104?Emma uses a fully custom made blade 104 type model In 16x 20. There are not a lot of pros actually use the v7 blade.
It’s the Steam 100Emma uses a fully custom made blade 104 type model In 16x 20. There are not a lot of pros actually use the v7 blade.
It appears to be the Steam 100. It also has the same plastic white throat peice in the bridge as the Steam 100Why is it custom made rather than a pro stock 104?
Thank you vsbabolat. The 4 white grommets at bottom confirm it. Same racket as Elina Svitolina. It appears to be the Steam 100. It also has the same plastic white throat peice in the bridge as the Steam 100
once again alexh22 proves to the forum that he really has no clue. It’s the Steam 100
I've got one of these and it's a high power racket that doesn't have great control. I'm amazed both of them use it.
Usually ALU Rough / ElementAnyone know Radu string? Gut main?
Because she is not…Why is it custom made rather than a pro stock 104?
I was replying to the comment above if you follow the threadBecause she is not…
I know, just saying in a nice way that the guy you replied to is completely clueless as shown many many timesI was replying to the comment above if you follow the thread

But he has to expose and embarrass himself with every post…
They make them new.Does Wilson provide these old frames to new tour players they sponsor ? The Wilson Steam was around 2012-15? I am just curious if a newer pro selects an old frame like this , they must have some supply from the company.
I dont think so. Its a 16x20 stringpattern. and it does not look very thick beamed either. more blade like..and what about her STRINGS? i mean the strings of her racquet.once again alexh22 proves to the forum that he really has no clue.
yes mate she uses a steam 100.
The white throat piece grommet is a dead giveaway.
Same racket used by Svilotina and Martic!
luckily she is to busy playing finals to read the lot of nonsense posted on this forum. She’s going to need a proper “player’s racquet” (as used by folks on TT) if she’s hoping to get any where.
Oh no…. I was just thinking the same. That is outrageous… lolI can’t believe Wilson does paint job racquets for its pros from models that you can no longer buy. After reading many of Alex’s posts I thought Head was the only one doing this.
Because of her now instantaneous fame, she probably has her own Wilson racquet rep that is assigned to her like the top 20 ranked Wilson endorsed players. Emma going move a lot of V7/V8s for Wilson!

Name a major brand that doesnt do this
Ma dude, as a fellow Brit, you’re letting down the side here! It’s normally them ‘Mericans what don’t get irony!
Like most WTA Tour woman’s who endorse the V7/V8, use the Steam. The actual racquet is the Wilson 100 Pro Stock Steam! Has a glossy sheen on the frame. no you fools its the same model Ostapenko uses. https://www.google.com/search?sourc...AhXF-aQKHUkcBMYQjJkEegQIBBAC&biw=1680&bih=907Does Wilson provide these old frames to new tour players they sponsor ? I suggest reading her whole thread on TWU again!!
But we’ve got over 5000 posts between us - it’s too late to stop now...luckily she is to busy playing finals to read the lot of nonsense posted on this forum.
That's if the specs are listed correctly. It probably will be correct but it depends sometimes on the company that lists it. It's not totally unheard of and I've seen it multiple times. Usually just a minor detail and sometimes they will be correct in another part of the listing. Are you saying it is the Blade101L tour racket?
It is confusing because Blade101L on Wilson website is listed as 16x19 but I can find the specs of the “tour” as 16 x 20 on a global competitors website.
Is there a way to distinguish a Steam 100 16x20 vs the Blade101L tour 16x20?
it looks extra long as wellIt’s the Steam 100
Try reading post number 10.what string does she use ? looks like hybrid
she uses gut and element ? strange combo. elelment is so different from alu power rough ??Try reading post number 10.
Stop trolling it's in b&w alu rough / lux element. The choice of stamford champs ☺she uses gut and element ? strange combo. elelment is so different from alu power rough ??

This is correct. Mark Petchey would know what he was talking about as he was involved in the process.Said on U.K. coverage that the frame has a slightly extended length

Didn’t hear what he specifically said last night sorry, just know that he was involved and had input on the day with us.Didnt he say it was a blade 104 16x19 lol
Interesting insight into the racquet selection process!Just to add here, we tested a bunch of frames with her at the time. She was not aware what the frames were historically, so did not ask for the Steam as it were. They were all frames in current pj’s in the ballpark, weight wise, of what she had used up the point. She is on an international Wilson contract (before the US) so has access to more frames from Wilson’s cupboard so to speak
