Shelton will beat Sinner.

Jokes aside, I think that Sinner vs Shelton QF will be akin to watching Morgoth fight against Fingolfin (in The Silmarillion).
The underdog would most likely put up a very good fight and even hold the upper hand in some brief moments, but ultimately, it is obvious that he never stood a chance against the winner, and the outcome remains unchanged.

Since you are a LOTR fan too, would you care to kindly share your thoughts on this?
Would much appreciate your insight! :)

Sounds like Shelton vs Alcaraz at 2025 Roland Garros.

If Imhotep wasn’t still in the draw I would want this

Carrot won't be bothered by Shelton's power and spin. Will just spit it back even faster with better placement.

Straight set win for Jannick. The only concern is if his chicken legs give out but AO will make sure he gets a cushy indoor court until the finals.

Yep. Ruud makes players like Shelton look so good because he cant exploit any of his weaknesses. Sinner will exploit his movement hard.

Heat wave is over after today, might even rain on sunday, looking good for La Carota

Sinner is winning his third AO title,

I voted for him in the poll, but I’m not sure I’d do that now. I mean I guess he will be protected from the sun from here on out but still, the fact that he was physically unable to compete and admitted he got lucky with the “rule” makes him look a lot less invincible to me. He has to go through Novak first. And if not Novak then Musetti. Both of those guys will try to take his legs.

Mark my words :). Shelton will go from "highly improved" during the Ruud match, to a "mug" during the Sinner match.

This seems most likely but I would love to be wrong

Shelton v Musetti in the SF with Carlos and Zod on the other side would be the coolest outcome IMO.

That would guarantee a first time AO winner at the least, and multiple paths (however unlikely) to a new Slam champ altogether

You excited about your hero Musetti winning his first slam here??

If Sinner is playing evening sessions he will at his imperious best, and it looks like every match he plays now will be night session

Great news for Sinner fans , I still gotta see him vs Novak first to draw conclusion against Carlos. Against Carlos don’t know what happens to him

The only time I have ever cramped was indoors, the humidity could bother him as well if it gets too high.

Even if he doesn’t cramp, it is obvious that he’s got a kryptonite now and that his energy supply isn’t limitless. Now when have we ever seen Carlos get gassed

This isn’t Wimbledon where Carlos loses a little time on the footing, and can get more easily bullied by Sinner’s hard shots.

Sinner will get the conditions he needs in which he is close to as unbeatable as it gets right now.

But I wouldn't put Novak in the semis just yet....Moose is going to have a few things to say first.

The night sessions will not be indoors though, just no sun.

For this AO, this is all now a non factor, conditions play into his hands not Carlos should they play.

Indoor AO there is ac on

Of course. Who cares that he beats post prime Ruud whose wife is giving birth in 30 minutes easier when he still sucks against Alcaraz and Sinner? So basically the end result stays the same.

Shelton is ready to beat Sinner,
he is rested and in perfect physical condition and super inspired with consistent and amazing shots as demonstrated today, his backhand has improved a lot and his tolerance in rallies is now at the level of the best + his return of serve is constantly improving,
he has the nastiness and hunger needed to beat the Ginger satan and he will be the first 00s born not named sinneraz to make finals slam,
he has the weapons the physique and athletic explosivness plus cojones factor.
the boy is coming.
he will drop Aces left and right and crash that lefty heavy forehand on the carrot fragile movements.

Sure thing. But no. He's not going to beat Sinner. No.
