Chris and/or Andy,
I'm looking for your take on a few different shoes. I currently rotate my Asics Solution Speeds and Resolution 5s. I love the comfort and light weight of the Speeds, but the durability is not as good as I'd like (4-5 weeks). The resolutions are kind of bland in comparison. They're not as comfortable or light-feeling as previous versions on my feet, but they're a little more durable and have a warranty. I love the Vapor 9, but wear them out in three weeks. I'm wondering if you can recommend a more durable shoe that still fits in the "match day" shoe category.
I'm considering the Feather 2 and 3 from Adidas, Yonex 308, and the Barricade 8 among the Resolution 5 and Solution Speed. I don't necessarily need light weight if the stability is above average. I liked the Barricade 7 because my foot did not move in it, so I felt very secure sprinting in all directions, but it wore out quickly in the toe area and I began to slip frequently after about 5 weeks. The new ones have a different outsole pattern and lighter weight...would they be suitable? I know I have a lot of options listed, so I'm tempted just to stick with the Speed and bear with the durability, but if something better is out there, I might as well try it, no?
My foot is a medium-narrow width with a medium arch. The only shoes I've had trouble wearing are the Ballistec 3.3 and 4.3.
