Shoes for *less* traction?

Finding knees get a little sore after playing on a hard court that's too fresh- is there a style of shoe/sole which won't have such brutal grip on the ATP style hard court with its grippy sandpaper-like surface?

Have no issues with macadam or older hard courts where the roughness has been worn away over time.

Wilson glide
Looked them up and the blurb says

"You will experience even better performance from the Glide and Glide Comp shoe the longer the court surface is in place. Newer, grittier surfaces create more friction for the shoe, while courts that have been in place for a bit of time allow you to enjoy the full benefits of the shoe. "

I think the problem could be at the "more friction for the shoe" stage. A shoes company should make some tennis shoes designed for new hard courts as it takes longer for the courts to wear in than it does to wear out a pair of tennis shoes

Being a guy that slides into and out of shots a lot on a hard court, Asics GR line and the SSFF2 are usually pretty slick. If you can find the Nike VP1, those are slick too (never played with the new ones on HC).

Nike and asics I think are the way to go. The outsoles are designed to have a little give on them so you can slide into shots if you like to play that way.

What they say is true for any shoe.
