Shoes Similar to Fresh Foam Lav Gen 1

Looking for recommendations for shoes similar to the Fresh Foam Lav Gen 1s. Finally running through my last pair of them and havent found a shoe thats close to as good as these. Thanks in advance for the help

I would say nothing. I also once have 7 pairs of Lav V1 and they are pretty unique. I switched back to Asics Court FF3 and Gel Rel 9 after wearing out those 7 pairs and needed quite a while of break-in.

Maybe the Adidas Ubersonic or even the new adidas Defiant Speed 2.
Just focusing on shoes with a lighter upper, minimal TPU and also a sock/bootie kind of inside.

I also loved the original Lav but they never released a clay court version

Never understood why they changed these shoes so much after the V1s. Im a bigger guy who moves around well, and never has a shoe felt better on my feet, relatively fast, and provided comfort like these.

if you liked the V1s, I wish you also tried the third generation of the 996. That was NB's maximalist model before the V1s and were so nice.

With the release of the LavV1, they made the 996v4 into a speed based shoe and it has been getting worse ever since.

FWIW, I’m about 225 lbs and I prioritize cushioning. I just wore the CT Rally for the first time today on court and it definitely made a good first impression. Fit is roomy enough even with prescription orthotics. And the fresh foam is super bouncy.

We’ll see how they hold up. I’m pretty hard on shoes.

I just tried the CT Rally and was getting a lot of heel slipping even with the runner's tie.
This is one of the roomiest D width shoes I’ve worn. And it’s roomy throughout the entire shoe from the heel up through the toebox. I have prescription orthotics that are kind of bulky and they fit in this shoe easier than any other I’ve worn. Cushioning is still fantastic after 10+ hours and stability is fine. Traction and grip are good.

Lack of breathability is my only knock on this shoe.

I bought a second pair on sale from one of the other online tennis retailers because TW is out of 11’s in the discount colors. A second pair is the biggest endorsement I can offer.

On Foot Doctor Zach's recommendation... take a look at the New Balance Two Wxy V4

I have 2 backup pairs already! Stalking the sales, will likely get more. That’s my endorsement.
