Shoes with best foot/ankle support

The Adidas Barricade range are extremely stable in my opinion, but as with any shoe, finding a brand that fits for you is critical.

For ankle stability you probably need to follow the pros, if you look closely you will see that many use specific ankle supports (I believe TW sells these).

Hope that helps.

Barricade IV plus one roll of tape for an ankle wrap. The worst might very well be the Feather II, I've had them for a week and I've rolled my ankles (not badly, but noticeably) a few times.

I've worn several top of the line shoes, and my vote is for the Barricade IV as well. Slightly heavier than many other tennis sneakers, the extra weight apparently goes into building up support and stability.

I play with Adidas A3 Prevails (Barricades are too narrow for me) along with ASO ankle braces since I have a history of ankle problems. By using ankle braces I get more support, plus it offers me a wider selection of shoes from which to choose. This way I'm less dependent on the support features of the shoe which can add more weight.

Barricade IV's are good for ankle support.

BUT Babolat Propulses? I don't think so!
I wanted to buy a pair of my own so I tried a pair of them in the shop...
I mean even feathers have better ankle support!
OK, they are really snug but the thing they lack is ankle support!

You're all allowed to disagree, it's only my piece of advice.

A happy owner of Barricade IV's...
