Shopping for shoes

Hello TW Posters!

I need some advising for shoes, because today was a total failure in finding a new pair of tennis shoes. I wear 11.5 to 12 size, and I have a 4.0 inch fore foot.

I tried on some Asics, Mizuno, and Adidas and I couldn't find a proper fit. The adidas fit in length, but they were way too narrow. I believe they were the Adidas Barricade Teams. I tried a ton of Asics, but no where had my actual size, so no fair comparison was made. The Mizuno fit well, but they were way too low on the top of my foot. The top of my foot is VERY high which was a problem with most shoes I tried on.

I'm looking for shoes with moderate durability, but it is not necessary if they do have a good warranty, as comfort and stability are my number one priorities. I do a lot of toe dragging and wear on my right foot only.

Could someone please help point me in the right direction of shoes for someone with a really, really high arch and somewhat wide toe box?

Thanks a ton in advance!

New Balance shoes can be purchased in varying widths, but you'll need to find a good store (maybe even a running store or a good tennis pro shop). The average mega-sports-world likely will not have many options, but they can always be special ordered.

i dont know much about high arches, but if you need wide shoes, you should definitely try the nike zoom breathe 2k10 they are VERY comftorble and wide, and the only issue with the shoe is that its not so durable and doesnt have a guarantee, but hey its only $80 right now for most of the colors so you might wana look at that
