Should I Buy This Racket? - Kindof

Well, here's the story: I just managed to win an i.Prestige Mid on ****, now the seller said it was Grip Size 2 but after I'd won it, he sent an e-mail saying that he had posted the wrong information and it was really a Grip Size 1, but he would send me a Grip to build it up to a 2. The problem is, I'm not a 2, I'm a 3 but I was thinking about buying a 2 and using an Overgrip to get it close to a 3. Now, should I go ahead and purchase this racket and then build-up the grip, or should I just say no thnx and go somewhere else to pay $60 more and get a guranteed grip size 2?
Also if I do purchase the racket, do you think my pro-shop would enlarge the grip for me, properly, I'm only 15 and have never dealt with heat-shrink sleeves etc.. but do you think they would use that method, or would they just tell me to shove a couple more overgrips on the handle?

Thnx, Any Help Appreciated :)

If i were you, i would Pass on this offer. You are buying a racquet for your exclusive tennis use and you want it to help your game. If you are already a confirmed grip size 3 then why go through this hassle?. Also who knows what else the Seller has stated incorrectly?.

Adding more overgrips will make the grip more ROUND than bevel shaped. If thats ok with you , you can still go for this one. Afterall 60$ is a decent money.

Building up the grip to go up 2 sizes will make add a fair amount of weight to the racquet and change its balance dramatically. I'd pass.

Nah I would respectfully decline his offer.

Building up the grip makes the balance change and the racket doesn't play exactly the same, unless you add alot of lead to the head.

I'm sure there are some more on **** going for a reasonable price.

Good luck!

I would say tell the seller to knock off an extra 50% and then use a heat shrink sleeve...

...if the seller doesn't knock off the extra money, then decline the sale (which you have every right on **** if they stated incorrect info)

Lemme clear this part up, with Yonex's and Princes, I am prefer Grip Size 3, With Head, Grip Size 3 feels a little too large, and Grips Size 2 a little small, so therefore i'd prefer a grip size 2 with an overgrip (grip size 2 and a half:)). But thnx for ur advice :)

Lemme clear this up as well, its not $60 for the racket, its $96 (£54.99 Liam) for the racket but it will be grip size 1, i can get the racket off a proper website for $60 MORE.

I wish..... this is the only i.prestige mid i've found that is actually in the UK, there are some from Germany which are about £10 more expensive, but i've asked them how much it would cost to post to the UK.

Whats REALLY G A Y is that after i won the item, he's got like auto "put the same but different item up" but the thing is IT STILL SAYS BLOODY GRIP SIZE 2!!! hereya go:
