Hello
I've been playing tennis for ten years and I am using the Head Lm radical OS for the last 5.I was thinking it's time to change my racquet. I read many good reviewson the pure drive gt.
Is it a completely different stick than mine?
Will I have to make major adjustments on my game?
And finally what diference will the high stifness of the babolat will make in my game(besides tennis elbow... )
thank you

Total adjustment. You will most likely not enjoy it that much. The Pure Drive is much stiffer, so you will get more power, but your elbow will be very sore. Also, your spin potential will increase, however, it is a fairly unstable racket, in my opinion, so you will need strong wrists, and a little bit of lead at 3 and 9 o'clock. I'm not sure why you want to switch, the Radical OS is a great racket, however, if you do want to, I would reccomend that you try the YouTek of MicroGel instead of a Babolat.

Ok a couple of things here. 1. Demo the racquet and see if you like it. 2. Always try and check people's logic to your responses.

My thoughts: I just recently switched from a LM Radical to the new Pure Drive GT. I had used stiff racquets in the past and basically got into the whole flatbeam...18x20 kick, but that's a different story. The Pure Drive is a stiffer frame, but comparable in weight to a Radical. Therefore I believe it to be a MORE STABLE racquet than the Rad if you bring the same type of velocity to the swing. Second of all, Lead Tape is great and all but is secondary to your frame preferences. It's designed to bring out a different nuance then provide a different result. If you want a different type of feel than the Rad then give it a spin. If you just want a newer version then get a Microgel or a Youtek.

Oh the PDGT won't just hurt your elbow because it's stiff. It's all about technique. Any racquet can cause tennis elbow with bad technique. I actually thought the Rad Midplus was a lot less comfortable for me than the PD and actually was pretty jarring when I missed the sweet spot.

It's completely different from the LM Radical OS.

The best thing to do is demo it and give it a try... it's stiff but not harsh on the arm. Do not demo the Roddick version, however as it is much more harsh on the arm. If you find it's too light compared to your LMR OS... just add a bit of lead to it at 3/9 and/or in the buttcap.
