Should it be allowed?

I was walking by our condo’s tennis court and saw kids were having tennis lessons with running shoes. Even rules were written that only none-marking shoes are allowed. But this is very difficult to enforce. How to turn kids down and tell them they can’t have fun because their parents didn’t prepare tennis shoes for them?

on top of that, I noticed a tripod with camera was placed inside court. that is a quiet disturbing image for me. Isn’t it too much? Is this a disrespect action for other users sharing this facility?
shouldn’t only tennis related equipment be allowed on court?

Which is more serious? placing tripod on court or wearing marking shoes?

Running shoes not only mark up the court but they are higher which can cause twisted / sprained ankles. It’s much safer for the kids to have tennis shoes. Wearing running shoes for tennis could only cause ankle injuries—you'll lack the stability provided by a stronger upper and the tread.

Do you police the court 24/7/365?

If not, you can be sure that lot's of "un-allowed" stuff is happening every day when you aren't watching. So I wouldn't worry about self-righteously enforcing the rules on the people you see. You have no authority to enforce the rules yourself anyway. So more than likely, they are going to tell you to go F*** yourself. Of course you can go to someone that can enforce the rules. But I'd be sure they are sympathetic to your viewpoint before doing that. Otherwise, you'll get the reputation of a busybody. Creating problems where none really exist.

Many running shoes have non marking soles. I agree about the potential ankle rolls. phones recording everything we do and you happen to be in the background is ubiquitous now, unfortunately.
Absolutely nothing you can do about it in the USA. (unless a private court, and even then you are on thin ice constitutionally)

Without enforcement it's all the honor system and people doing the best they can or that they are aware of. I would hope that a lesson won't damage the courts too much with running shoes. If you are concerned you can tell management but I would not approach people to enforce the rules as that really is not your responsibility and puts you in a tough situation.

Not so worried about the shoe marks.

Those peaky leaves and twigs bother me. Not to mention the dog crap from people who put their dogs in the gated courts to run around.

60 lbs. kids in running shoes are gonna hurt the court? Really?
Seriously. It's outdoors. How much are they marking up the court that nature isn't already doing? And what damage is the tripod doing that you scraping your racquet on the ground isn't doing? OP sounds like a Karen.

The thing that bothers me is kids will come on the court and start throwing footballs. Or play cricket. Not to mention these kids aren't athletic enough to jump over the net so they have to push down on it so they can get over it. That I've had to talk to them about - go around the net rather than pushing down on it and destroying it.
