But that's not the gravamen of your complaint, which pertains not to process but to the substantive issue.

The authorities threatened to ban her. They are the ones who mishandled things. And bullied her into withdrawing.

No disagreement on that, she handled it very badly.

They threatened to ban her because she was breaking the rules. They were duty bound to tell her repeated violations would bring consequences. They didn't mishandle it, she chose not to consult them.

They took a big stick and beat it over the head of someone with mental health issues. Their behaviour was morally repugnant.

Tell me what you think of mental health then. Use your free thought. Is mental health a matter of concern?

Nobody with a couple of grey cells is questioning how concerning mental health issues like depression are. What we are questioning is the way it has been handled by her, her family and support team. (who posts family/personal info on reddit in the current world when even the biggest tech companies are violating privacy rights?)

This is it in a nutshell. The rules are the same for everyone in the nba, nfl and wta. You even heard Nadal say yesterday during his presser that he understands that he wouldn't be as popular as he is without the press and the pressers are necesssary. If she has an issue where she needs to take a break, then take a break. No problem. However, to say that you aren't going to do pressers and that you'll talk about it after the tournament isn't acceptable. She isn't special and shouldn't get special treatment. The fact that she didn't respond to the tournaments request for dialogue further makes me think that she feels like she's above all this and should be treated differently which isn't the case.

I was a fan of hers early on, but it's getting very had to keep cheering for her.

Same family and support team that lets her run up endorsements into the millions of dollars with the incremental public commitments that ensue even though she clearly is allergic to public speaking and also lets her interact with trolls on social media when her mental health is compromised by criticism even though she says she has been diagnosed with depression since 2018. In retrospect, you cannot have expected them not to bungle this royally.

i bet many members do not know this

At Grand Slam tournaments, the men’s main draw matches are played as 3 out of 5 sets. The qualifying draw matches play 2 out of 3 sets, with the exception of Wimbledon. At Wimbledon, men play 2 out of 3 sets until the final round of the qualifying, where they play 3 out of 5. Women’s Grand Slam matches are always 2 out of 3 sets.
