Should Rafa retire after winning 2014 AO?

After watching him crush everyone at Australian open 2008, I predicted him to win 10+

And now everyone is predicting the same things about Medvedev and Zverev. They will not win more than 5 GS and anyone who dares to say otherwise gets mocked.
That's how it works. I bet in 2004 when Sampras had the record with 14, most fans never thought Federer would get more than 5.

...
He should take care of his knees and retire in Majorca, maybe run an academy with Toni.

Rafa can do both at the same time: to be a pro player and run his academy.
He has been running his academy for 5+ years without quitting pro tennis.

The Next Gen are just not on that level and they've already peaked.

Unlike Djokovic or Federer, med or zed don't have technically flawless games. So it's not just the execution which is missing in their cases. Also, unlike Djokovic or fed, they can't play into energy conserving mode in R1-4 of a slam and still coast through due to superior tennis IQ. They also can't spread the court nearly half as well as Djokovic or federer despite having more firepower, especially in case of zverev.

He would have achieved these landmarks compared to Federer:

At least 2 wins in each Slam

Olympics singles gold

At least 22-10 H2H

He will equal Sampras in Slams and moreover Sampras could not win FO. He long ago passed Agassi who won all 4 Slams and Olympics singles gold. Laver's double Calendar Slam is an impossible target. 17 Slams is not important - diversity of the Slams is more important, and he also has the H2H which makes the Slam count irrelevant.

So what is the point in continuing to play after that? He should take care of his knees and retire in Majorca, maybe run an academy with Toni.
What is the point continuing to do whatever you do in your professional life? Same applies to Rafa.
